Santa moves quick this year. I've received a copy of Room 25. (Sorry, Santa. I forgot to take pictures of the unboxing.) It looks awesome and I can't wait to give it a try at the next game day.

Thanks, Santa!

Sitting at home working on the resume my doorbell goes "ping-pong". Thinking that it's probably the annual Jehovah Witness visit I trudge to the door but to my surprise what do I see...It's the delivery man with a package for me!

To the kotatsu I rush and the scissors I grab then 8 seconds later this photo I nab

Rejoice and hark! It doesn't appear to be fluff, now do I have the will to not open the stuff

HEll NO! My will is to weak but hot damn Santa you're my type of geek!

Seriously, thanks a ton Santa!!! Having a craptacular work week and this really put a smile on my face. Shadows is awesome but Forbidden Island and Tichu are super icing on the cake. You must have ESP Santa cause I've been thinking getting Tichu! Candy, card sleeves and games! Clearly my Santa is awesome.
My Santa had also taunted me with tidings of a roll & move zombie game of Santa's own making. My super Santa included that as well! It's what is on the cardboard in the background of the photo. Going to bring that along to the next JIGG event.

So my Santa told me the tracking info for the box and I kept track of it on the japan Post Website. It arrived last Friday while I was at work and I got to see it the next day. I ripped it open to find this....

Advent calendar? Sounds like fun! I should leave it until the 12 days before Xmas though...

Lets have a look at the other 2 wrapped things.

As ever, dice hate me so I have to wait until Thursday to open this one...

Last one!

Looks like I have to wait until Friday for this one...

To be continued.

For some reason I can't upload photos on BGG, so this would be without pics until I figure out how to load it up.

So the elf arrived drunk from eggnog and 2 days late at my doorstep but the weight of the box helped mollify my annoyance. I opened the box up and behold!

A brand new copy of Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
A hand made copy of Battle Line Simpsons edition. Eat my shorts!
A hand made copy of 12 Days of Christmas. Just in time for the festivities.
A brand new copy of Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game – Fantastic Four

This is hands down the best Santa I've ever had the luck and honor to get. Makes me feel ashamed of my own attempt but I'll definitely outdo myself next year.

Thanks again Santa!

It's a mystery!!!
After today's no snow show day, I came home to a wonderful surprise in the mailbox. The JP postal elf tried to deliver a package in the morning. I called the elf-hotline and they delivered the package within a few hours. How big is this box???? It's humungous!

It's big enough to fit about 15 boxes of Shapes (an Aussie snack), or 80ish DVD cases, or 1000 keitai straps, or a huge boxful of snow!

What's in the mystery box? Only JIGG Santa knows. It is one heavy box. Thank you Santy!! Thank you for the wonderful mystery gifts, the fun taunts, and awesome videos.

I hope Santy doesn't mind if I wait to open the box on Christmas day. Ooo eeee. I wonder if the secrets inside are wrapped. I wonder if Santy might send me a sign.

(how do I add a picky?)

Ooh The picture function is working again Yah!! Thank you Santy. I'll be opening up these goodies shortly

The Case of the Missing Secret Santa Presents: a hard-boiled Christmas
Status: SOLVED!!!

D.M.'s log
Case- missing secret Santa presents
Status- solved

Dec 25th- woke at dawn. Made some joe and waited for the fat man to show. No dice. Also, no special event cards and not a single victory point. What could be keeping Santa? Elf related mob problems? Xmas ninjas? A dame? Will get some shut-eye and try again tomorrow.

Dec 26th- more of the same. Is this guy even real? Where is he? Where is my present? Best get some rest. Waiting is hard and time seems to be dragging on. I have a feeling this case is just going to get colder and colder from here on out. Note to self: buy real cream. Real cream is delicious. 'Creamer' is not.

Dec 27th- A break in (or was it a'break-in') the case. Woke this morning to find a body on my floor. Not the first time and probably not the last. Don't ask. This particular body turned out to be the fat man... a.k.a. Santa Claus. I checked for a pulse. Dead? No, not dead. More like dead drunk. Seems that he had helped himself to a lil too much holiday cheer. Well, that explained a lot but didn't really help me in the missing present department. Just my luck. I helped the fat man up, gave him some hair of the dog for the road and flagged down a cab. I could tell by his red nose he was in no shape to drive. Besides, it was bone cold outside. But things got even colder after Santa puked all over that poor cabby. Merry Christmas indeed. Disillusioned and presentless I returned to my old apartment to grab a cup of hot joe. I opened the door and took off my jacket. Suddenly, something caught my eye. I noticed a package sticking out from underneath the table. It seemed to be a fair size. Also, it was in pretty much the very spot where Santa's body had been. My Christmas spirit started doing backflips. Santa must have dropped it under the table before passing out. I inspected the label. It was for me! That beautiful drunken baxstard!!! I quickly opened it and found two mysteriously wrapped gifts inside. I ripped those open and found.... two really awesome presents {Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: The Thames Murders & Other Cases and Sleuth}! Santa, thank you so much! Really, I couldn't have asked for a better secret santa! Next year the drinks are on me!

Case closed! Merry Christmas Santa, JIGG guild members and everyone on the geek. Note to self: Mmmmmmm....real creammmmmM.

Here are some picts I took for the case file.

Finding the body

Package found

Mysterious items inside!

Case Closed: Santa, YOU ROCK!
Two awesome games from the top of my wishlist! Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: The Thames Murders & Other Cases and Sleuth
