This got played by a big group but me and Sambhav managed to squeeze a two player game onto a little side table. He insisted that we use the official three Vexation tracks per game instead of the unofficial three per scoring round and it wasn't very challenging...
Abstract strategy game skinned with a silly penguin theme which was good fun. Enjoyed it so much I demanded we play it twice. Also saw it getting at least one other airing at another table. Weird how the game can end prematurely because the penguins are all on separate icebergs rather than the hex by hex elimination process.
The highlight of the evening for me. Played using a three tile variant where we always had a hand of three tiles. Made the game much more challenging and you could plan further ahead. The Gingerbread Man was very busy.
This got played several times throughout the evening and everybody seemed to be enjoying it. I even broke and played a couple of games myself towards the end and managed to win despite my loathing of reaction and pattern recognition games. Begrudgingly, I admit it was... fun. I had... fun.
