Night 1: 1.3.2014

This game is more or less a point salad game but despite that fact it is a fun game to play. When everything gives you point or two, there are various of strategies to play the game. You can focus on filling the small parts of your board early in the game or pile up your points by animal tiles etc. The game it self is not that heavy but there is some thinking along the way to the glorious victory.

After play:

Zathraz won with 200 points. Hanska weren't so bad either with 187 points.

Night 1: 1.3.2014

I love this game as thought its theme is not so tight. I would play this more if setup doesn't take so long.

This is our Ten-times-in-a-row game. We play with basegame and following expansions: Intrigue, Cornucopia and Dark Ages.

Afterplay

Zathraz won 5/10 and Hanska won 5/10. Playing time varied from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. Points were quite even, but we forgot to take score up.

Night 1: 1.3.2014

We will play Carcassonne with all the expansions eight big expansions that have been published so far. There will be about 230 tiles to play. This one will not be short but I'm still waiting to play this one.

Expansions:
Inns & Cathedrals
Traders & Builders
The Princess & the Dragon
The Tower
Abbey & Mayor
Count, King & Robber
Catapult
Bridges, Castles & Bazaars

After play:

Hanska won with 437 points. Zathraz had 401 points. I was assuming that the point difference would have been greater.

In the early game both players had about the same amount of points but in the midgame Zathraz took the lead. Hanska had some trouble getting points placing two castles in the key spots Hanska managed to balance the scores. In the end Hanska had the bonus tiles that gave points from the completed roads and citys which points were enough to secure the victory.

Night 2: 5.4.2014

We have played this game once before. We played with the base game with the andvanced rules. This time we will play with Close Encounters expansion. In my opinion this game should hit the table far more often.

After play:

We decided to play this game on friday 4.4. because we weren't sure if we'd get a few visitors in our ThemeNightGames night or not. We wouldn't want to get the guests to wait for us. After all we didn't have the expected visitors due to unkown reasons.

We played the small map scenario only with the base game as opposed to the original plan. First contact was in economy round 4. I started with raiders and Hanska was investing to fighters. Both of us didn't make that many fleets that contained raiders/fighters because there were much larger ships coming at each other by the economy round 8. In the end I managed to get behind enemy lines with 4 BCs, when Hanska started a heavy attack with few BBs and a full fighter squadron. In the end my 4 BCs were able to blockade Hanskas homeplanet. Bloackading the homeplaned hit Hanskas economy so hard, he didn't get any new fleets to defend his homeplanet.

Night 2: 5.4.2014

This game will be our ten-times-in-a-row game in the next session on the 5th of april. Space Alert is a fun game after all. Someone just have to be the captain who is shouting the orders.

"Go hit the A button!"
"Yes, sir!"

It is exciting to see if the crap hit the fan or were the mission succesful.

After play:

We hit the CD in to the computer and played all the tracks 1 through 8. To get the full ten playes, we played tracks 4 and 7 twice.

Won 4 games out of 10. In few games we had some misundenstandings of where we'd go and what the androids should do. Two player game with two android players is not the easies one to get started in this game. But in ten games we managed to get somekind of big picture how the things could be done.

Both of us like this game and there is a lot to play in this game. We have two expansions, the Gathering Storm and the newst one Alien Artifacts. I have removed the starting worlds and improved logistics cards that was in the Gathering Storm expansion. I haven't had no problem combining those two expansions.

After play:

We both started investing in alien planets and technologies. I tried to explore more alien cards but with no luck. I managed to get some big rebel worlds instead. When Hanska pursued with the alien cards I started to change my tactics towards rebel worlds. The problem was there were not enough military power to conquer the rebel worlds. Luckily I got the 6 development that gave me +4 military power against rebels. In the end I had 41 points and Hanska had 32.
