This is mainly for the purpose of myself and all Cologne on Board members. Sort of a diary to keep track of what we played & enjoyed. In case you happen to be from the area of Cologne, Germany, come and join us !

http://www.meetup.com/Cologne-on-Board/

We met at the lovely, cosy - albeit a tad dark - James Joyce Irish Pub in Cologne.
Nine People turned up, summertime seems to take its toll !
We played Eight (Five Unique) games in total, including
one prototype - exciting stuff !

Played a whoopin' three times with four newbies out of five, so I reckon it went down well enough. Still a classic, yet a tad harsh to learn the first time you get your hands on it.

First time I ever played this. Really fun game, despite the rather variable (read: unpredictable) game length. Innovations are quite a varied topic with some interesting trivia in there, rangin from actual "inventions" worth the denomination and some bizarre things thrown in for good measure. Lovely game.

I finally got this to the table, after bringing it along a few times. A bit AP prone, especially in the last round, when every explorer tries to squeeze the maximum number of points out of the jungle. Lovely implementation of theme and mechanics.

I used to play this a lot when it came out, because it caused such a stir and hype as a lightweight Pandemic variant with a fluffier theme. Still think that - for a coop - it lacks some of the randomness to make it chaotic enough to become a collective struggle against doom, but maybe the difficulty setting was too low for us experience game sharks.

Once again, Cologne on Board's own game designer Johannes Sich brought along his excellent prototype La Cosa Nostra and we enjoyed it with some new tweaks and bits to try out and I stand by my opinion that this is a true little gem full of backstabbing with a great tendency to balance itself out and some limited luck. Lots of nailbiting moments and shaking fists, rad !
