Please subscribe to this list to be the FIRST to learn about tournament updates for Android: Netrunner tournaments in Berkeley.

The tournaments are around 4 rounds of Swiss. Official tournament rules will be followed. Each round is allotted 65-75 minutes, and you're expected to complete 2 games in that time with your opponent, so each of you gets to play as both Runner and Corporation in each round. Please check individual events for more details like allowed card sets, prize support etc.

2014 Winter Season Prize Kit Tournament
Sunday, February 8th, 2015 @ 12pm
@ Games of Berkeley
-MaxXimum Edition-

Please let me know (reply, geekmail, e-mail, comment, whatever) if you plan to come, so I have an idea of headcount. It helps with the logistics of the tournament.

Prizes will include the winter season kit and store credit.

All packs up to and including Order & Chaos are allowed.

WE ARE DOING ACHIEVEMENTS THIS MONTH!

There will be a special prize for each player that wins an achievement.

This month we have:

Runner - That PAD Will Rot Your Brain! - This achievement is won by the player who has acquired the most brain damage at the end of each game they win.

Corp - Advance The Win! - This achievement is won by the player who has the most advancement tokens in play at the end of each game they win.

You need to win your games for achievements to count and these two work as an on-going tally throughout the tournament. I hope everyone has fun with these!

Details
$5 entry fee. All proceeds will be used for prize support; Games of Berkeley does not pocket any %.
4-5 rounds of Swiss, no cut to elimination. We will do 5 rounds if 18+ people show up.
75-minute rounds for 4 rounds of Swiss, 65 minutes for a 5 round tournament.

Beginners welcome. Come early to learn the game (let me know so I can bring my learner deck!). Make sure you arrive on time as it is hard to add latecomers into the tournament.

Hope to see ya there!

OVERDRIVE Draft Tournament
Saturday, September 13th, 2014 @ 2 p.m
@ Games of Berkeley

Please let me know (reply, geekmail, e-mail, comment, whatever) if you plan to come, so I have an idea of headcount. It helps with the logistics of the tournament.

We have prizes for this draft in the form of a Summer season prize kit.

NOTE: This event starts at 2PM on SATURDAY. We will probably finish up around 6 or 7pm.

Details
Depending on player count, we will either do a half draft ($15) or a full draft ($25)
The extra $5 on these costs are to cover the prize pack
In either case, you need an Overdrive starter pack. This includes some basic cards that everyone gets. The store can provide this to you for $5
Number of rounds will be determined based on player count

Beginners welcome! Come early to learn the game. Make sure you arrive on time as it is hard to add latecomers into the tournament. It would probably be wise to arrive at least 15 minutes early in fact.

Hope to see ya there!

OVERDRIVE Draft Tournament
Sunday, June 15th, 2014 @ 12 p.m.
@ Games of Berkeley

Spots are limited and not guaranteed in a draft tournament unless you RSVP beforehand and/or bring your own draft packs, so please RSVP (reply, geekmail, e-mail, comment, whatever) if you plan to come. Spots are reserved for players who RSVP beforehand, and then given to other players in order of arrival. If you RSVP, please show up on time or at least call beforehand or your spot will be given away.

Details
8 sets of draft packs are available at Games of Berkeley,
- If more than 8 show up (without bringing their own draft packs), it will be a one-side-only draft (with separate standings for Corp and Runner players)
- If 8 or fewer show up and it's an even number, majority vote will decide whether it's one-side-only or a double-sided draft
Overdrive 'booster packs' cost $10 per side and 'starter packs' cost $5 per side
- On top of that, there's an entry fee equal to $25 divided by # of players
- Budget for $20 if one-side-only, $35 if both sides. Subtract if you're bringing your own starter pack(s)
If the Summer Tournament kit has arrived by then, we'll crack it open for the prizes; if not, prizes will be from the Season One Tournament Kit

Drafting Tournament
Sunday, April 13th, 2014 @ 12 p.m
@ Games of Berkeley
-Super Draft Edition-

Please let me know (reply, geekmail, e-mail, comment, whatever) if you plan to come, so I have an idea of headcount. It helps with the logistics of the tournament.

This is our first DRAFT tournament. We only have 16 slots. The first 16 to arrive will get these slots.

Prizes will include store credit and/or Game Night Kit contents when available.

Details
$20 entry fee for the starter pack, 1 runner/corp draft pack, and entry. If you already have a starter, the cost will be $15.
This will be a half draft, meaning you will play as Runner or Corp, not both.
We need an even number of runners and corps so we will randomize which pack you get if there is a great demand for either side.

Beginners welcome. This is a great opportunity to play the game in a less competitive environment.

Hope to see ya there!
