This may have been the very first one:
I made the bears and their land pieces from a light paper clay. Not my best work, I didn't anticipate the flat pieces to warp as much. Painted with acrylics. The flicking stones are from an old checkers set.

Around that time I also made a copy of Diamant to try it (with Sticheln cards, I think). I made little painted origami boxes to hold the crystal drops.

Oh, and I also made a nice storage can from an old coffee can with a new label:

I painted each ladybug and all the flower boards with oil pastels and scanned them for tweaking and duplication on the cards. The ladybug and aphid tokens are salt dough, painted with acrylics.
Another view:

I also made a box:

For On the Farm I did it all completely by hand: card backgrounds (painted paper), card art (fun-foam sheets I cut into animal head shapes), card text (rubber stamp letters and numbers as well as some coins cut from erasers). 54 cards in all. I scanned the whole thing to make a German version (kept everything as it was) and an English version (digitally replacing the German text using a font that looks hand-stamped). Also added digitally created player aid cards and new rules with example images using the new look.

My own handmade copy is just paper slipped into sleeves with some poker cards (but I added a cardback to the print and play files):

My regency painting Love Letter redesign was designed on the computer, but the cardbacks are "analog": the insides of some pretty security envelopes .
But what's really handmade here are the salt dough letter tokens. The seal is done in nail polish.

RoboDerby Express is completely handmade again, I drew every die face and board, inked and colored them. I wanted more of a steampunk look, and the files that were available were a little too ink-heavy for my tastes.

The dice are origami, weighted with some folded paper strips inside. The robots are again made from the same light paper clay I use for most things (except for when I use salt dough), painted with acrylics.

Another one that is completely analog: all the cards, tokens etc are drawn, inked and colored by hand. I just printed the rules and I even made a bike messenger-like packaging.
Cardbacks are again from security envelopes.

For Parsec X I just made some little spaceships and marker cubes from paper clay, painted with acrylics. The rest is printed.

And finally, my current project - new card art for Dark Cults, 108 cards, will be all redone in pencil (the old ink art is all pixelated and out of print to boot, no high resolutions scans available) - eventually. I'm participating in a contest to motivate me to work on them regularly.

I'm challenging myself to take up drawing again, which I really enjoy, but don't do nearly often enough. I'm trying to get better (10,000 hours should do the trick to make you an expert, I've read ) while at the same time ending up with a cool game I'd really like to try. Win-win! The game art should give me at least 60-100 hours of practice.

Oh, I had completely forgotten the one project that's probably been the most popular on here: my homemade Pitchcar/Carabande set, which is mostly from recycled materials, to boot.

I had a lot of leftovers hanging around after putting in new wood laminate flooring. So for a few weeks, I retreated into my little makeshift workshop to make exactly one piece for this track set with a power saw. It took a while, but one day I was done:

The pieces don't really need jigsaw connectors because they are rubberized at the bottom and thus don't slide around much at all.

The rails are not detachable, unfortunately, I couldn't come up with a good way to do that, so I just stapled on some pieces from a Belgian chocolate box (to keep in the recycling vein).
I think they need an upgrade thought, at least visually, so I've been collecting some advertising booklets (the ones that come with new games, advertising more new games from the same publisher). I'll use them to cut out lots and lots of logos of great games and glue them to the rails, kind of like the ads around sports arenas.

The cars pictured were some plastic bottle caps filled with hot glue, but I wasn't really happy with that and have since thrifted some nice carrom pieces that I intend to use instead.

I also found a nice sturdy box to keep everything in and made a label with letter stamps. Once I've finished all the upgrades I may take another picture.
