2014 Geek Madness Tournament & Summary: Aldie Award Winner!

Last year shook up the Madness like no other. Two new games came to the title bout, one a rookie. This year, some of the old patterns returned while other new faces made it to the Elite 8, though none as in dramatic finish as last year. Agricola was the only top 4 seed making it to the Final 4; and with 7 years experience, was the only representative of the "Old" Guard in the semi-finals and beyond.
The Semi-Finals were half new. Both 7 Wonders and Dominion pushed past their Quarter-Finalist stall and finished as Semi-Finalists. New to the Quarter-Finals were this year's rookie sensation Terra Mystica and long-time Participant Battlestar Galactica. Power Grid and Puerto Rico rounded out the Quarter-Finalists. The votes are processed, and we now crown the 2014 Aldie Award Winner, Champion of the Geek Madness Tournament!
This year's final was almost the same results. And while having the most disparity in votes (for the second year in a row), it actually moved into the second largest gap based on percentage of votes. Android: Netrunner becomes the third back-to-back game to become Champion.
