Every year nearly 200 maniac cyclists take part in a 3 week, 2000 mile cycle race around France. This contest echos that madness, but with games taking part.

Le Tour de Geek has 15 stages where the 50 best games will compete against each other. Each of the 15 stages represents a different aspect of what makes games great. As in Le Tour the competitors will be judged in a number of different ways and the best in each of these will be rewarded by wearing a coloured jersey in the next stage. After the 15 stages are complete we will know our champions.

The games have been chosen based on their performance in last year's Tour qualifying events (Top 20) and in two qualifying stages.
Similar games (e.g. Dominion/Intrigue, Steam/Age of Steam) have been combined.

Previous Stages:
Le Tour De Geek 2014 - Qualifying Stage I [POLLS] - STAGE COMPLETE
Le Tour De Geek 2014 - Qualifying Stage II [POLLS] - STAGE COMPLETE
[POLLS] Le Tour de Geek 2014, Stage 1: Fun - STAGE COMPLETE

Stage 2: Replayability
Which game rewards multiple plays with new experiences, potential strategies and revelations of depth? Which game offers a large variety of game styles/play so that every game feels different and each play keeps you hungry for more? Which game do you want to play again immediately after finishing it?

I am aiming to run 2 stages per week so that this contest ends at the same time as the actual Tour de France. To make sure you don't miss a round subscribe here: 1000rpm's Polls Notification Thread - Just Subscribe!

There is a discussion thread here: Le Tour de Geek - Discussion Thread

Voting is over for this stage. The next stage is here:

The current Jersey holders are:

Yellow Jersey, Overall Leader (General Classification), gained by total Number of Votes
King of Tokyo

Green Jersey, Points Classification, Total Points awarded for most 'Wins'. Points vary according to the importance of the stage.
Galaxy Trucker

Knizia Jersey, Best All-Rounder, awarded to the game with the best lowest score across stages
Not awarded until after round two

Polka Dots, King of the Mountain, Total votes in certain stages (highlighted on the map in Orange)
The Resistance/Avalon

White Jersey, Best New Game, Most votes for a new (since 2011) game
Love Letter

Red Jersey, Best Old Game, Most votes for an old (before 2002) game
Roborally

White on Red, Most Combative (last stage), (guideline=smallest %gap between Wins & Total Votes)
Twilight Struggle

King of Tokyo makes a strong start to 2014, but arguably The Resistance makes an even better one - doing better in the first stage than last year, where it ended up winning the overall contest.
Newcomer Can't Stop! makes an amazing start, but can a light dice game do well in enough of the other stages?

If you enjoy my contests then you may want to support the bike ride I'm doing for charity.

I'm riding 130 miles from Brighton to Paris (similar to stage 5 on the Le Tour de Geek map). This is to raise money for Albion in the Community, a charity that does a wide range of great work, specialising in making a difference for disabled and disadvantaged children.
