I'm starting this list for anyone to share how a game that you bought, traded for, whatever, meshed with or seemed to imitate a major or minor life event. The more details you can provide to your story, the better! Have fun!!

I found this wonderful (and at the time, not cheap) game on eBay, right after my wife and I started the process of closing on our first home. Container is all about shipping containers of goods (as one might have guessed), and the cover art and all the little wooden containers reminded me of how much packing and moving was coming in my future. The mechanic of all the players setting the prices for different goods and services also brought to mind all of the shopping around we had to undertake, for services such as movers, painters, plumbers, and others. Finally, the drab color scheme of the playing pieces and boards (I cannot fathom what thought process led to the decision of "Hey, let's make three of the container colors orange, brown, and a slightly different brown!") still reminds me of the stacks upon stacks of brown, tan, and white moving boxes, may of which still occupy a corner of our drab, unfinished basement. Though I did buy two other games before the big move, Container is the one I will always associate with moving in general, as well as my first (and as of this entry, current) house.
