2014 People's Choice Top 100 Solo Games
-
After seeing the Dice Tower's People's Choice Top 100 of 2014, the 1-Player Guild decided that we should do this as well. So for the month of November we asked for people's top 20 games to play solo. #1 would get 20 points, #2 gets 19 ...
The only restriction we made was that the game had to be a physical game you enjoyed playing solo. It could be a true solo game, a co-op game, a multi-player game where you played multiple sides, print and play, official and unofficial variants ... You get the idea. Anything except strictly electronic variants (like ios solo implementations).
For anyone who didn't find out about this until voting was closed, we apologize. We didn't advertise it outside the 1-Player Guild because we didn't want the results skewed by fans of games that honestly rarely get played solo.
So having said that, we understand that the number of voters is far lower than what the Dice Tower received for their poll. (Which was fine with us since we had to do ours manually).
We had 85 people participate and a surprising 389 games mentioned.
In some cases we combined votes like the D&D games (Castle Revenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon ...) and others we didn't. I asked when I wasn't sure and took recommendations.
The bottom line to all of this is that we wanted to do it out of curiosity and simply for the fun of it. Hopefully you find it interesting.
Please check back or subscribe while I update this list all week to count down from 100 down to 1.
Feel free to add comments to the games as they're posted. The comments you see listed were included by some of the people voting.
There were ties along the way, I decided to break ties by whichever game had more votes. If still tied, I went to whichever game had the higher vote. If still tied, I broke the tie and noted it.
When I've shown the whole list, I'll go over some stats on the votes.
One last point. I'd strongly encourage everyone interested in solo gaming to visit and join the 1-player Guild. It's a fantastic group of friendly people.

In case anyone caresThe 1-Player podcast has the final 20 games in it. I'm going to listen then post the next 10 and then the final 10 later for those who want the slow reveal still.

Please be respectful and wait to comment until games are shown here.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. I'll release everything tomorrow in some kind of format. I could do it tonight, but having that to do tomorrow will help with the withdrawals.
Until we get hundreds of votes, I'll be glad to do this again next year. If anyone has any suggestions to make this better, I'm all for it. I loved the suggestion for the single geeklist, slow reveal. Thank you! I really think that added to the fun.
