They explained everything in detail and at great length. After they finished I sat, despondent, contemplating a bleak and empty future. "I’m glad you’re depressed" said one. "It means you’ve understood the situation.”

I'm merely keeping the contest going until Cerith returns.

Contest Rules:

1) Add the game of the miniature(s) you painted as an item to the list. You may submit images of a single miniature or a group at your discretion.

2) The image you submit must have been uploaded during January 2015. Gallery images are ok but submitted images are preferred. As they've gone through the rigorous geek mod process it means at least someone has checked the submission conforms to BGG guidelines and it's also easier to check the submission date. The contest will end on 28 February 2015.

3) Please use the format [imageid=xxxxxmedium] where xxxxx is the id of the picture. Medium should be sufficient please do not use large.

4) You are the artist. Please do not submit miniatures painted by someone else.

5) One entry per person. You may, however, use either:

a. up to two 'normal' pictures of your entry, usually, the front and back of the miniature; OR
b. one image of a montage/collage of your entry.

6) The winner will be the picture with the most thumbs. You can thumb as many as you like.

7) If you can; include the make of the mini, scale and what paints you used in your entry.

Prizes:

I'm reliant on tips to offer prizes. Any tips received will awarded as follows:

1st place: 35%
2nd place: 25%
3rd place: 15%
Encouragement Awards 25%

Note I have altered this at my discretion - this may change when Cerith retakes the reigns.

Encouragement awards will be given to non-placing worthy entries with a bias to new participants. New painters are particularly welcome to enter and pleas do use the comment section for each miniature to discuss painting techniques, materials, share tutorial videos & etc.

Judging at the end of the month and winners will appear in the next months’ list.

1st place will now also receive an exclusive microbadge! mb

Please give this geeklist a thumb to help get it to the front page. The more contestants the better!

And don't forget to click on the images you like and give the actual images thumbs up as well!

Yay, I qualify once more!

Finished off the Ogre for my upcoming Blood Bowl Human team. Did a reasonable amount of conversion work to transform him from his original "Space Ogre" form into a more old-school "3rd edition humans" Blood Bowl look.

28mm scale (although he's a shade bigger than that!), painted with old Citadel + P3 paints.

Ah yeah! Long time admirer, first time participant. I am now going to enter every month this year! Well except for January which I missed... Ok, I am now going to enter every month this year except the ones I don't!

Here we have some 28mm PanOceania Fusiliers from Infinity The Game. These guys are the basic Light Infantry for PanO, sometimes doing the work, but often times just used as cheerleaders (contributing their order tokens to their bigger and badder comrades). In either case, they strive to look good doing it!

Edit: Forgot to add paints. I used Vallejo, P3 and Secret Weapon Washes. If anyone is interested, you can see what I used for each area specifically below.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Armor/red bits:
VJ - Calvary Brown, Red (.926), and Scarlet
SW - Armor wash, Blue Black, Green Black

Clothing/straps:
VJ - German Camo Med. Brown, Ivory, Sepia Shade Wash
P3 - Hammerfall Khaki, Menoth White Base, Menoth White Highlight
SW - Sewer Water, Green Black

Gold bits:
VJ - Cavalry Brown, Ice Yellow, Sepia Shade Wash
P3 - Rhulic Gold, Solid Gold,
Sw - Sewer Water

Bases:
VJ - Ivory, Sepia Shade Wash
P3 - Menoth White Base, Menoth White Highlight
SW - Sewer Water, Green Black

Hair:
VJ - Ivory, Ice Yellow
P3 - Menoth White Base, Menoth White Highlight
SW - Sewer Water (I know right! Gross!)

This is a mini I bought to use in D&D and as flavor for Tales of Arabian nights. Painted with Citadel paints. Sitting on Dwarven Forge dungeon tiles.

I didn't take any miniature pictures the last month, but I can use this picture I took for a session I made:

Ziggurath of Doom. Warhammer 1st edition.

All the miniatures including the ziggurat was finished in January.
