After much anticipation (mainly on our part), our very first board-gaming podcast is up! Yes, it is rough around the edges, and yes, we are still trying to figure out all the technicalities, but we sure had fun recording this.

In this podcast, we discuss Sushi Go!, Cosmic Encounter, upcoming games, and our recommendation for those of you just embarking on your journey into the madness of tabletop gaming.

Enjoy!

When we here at the Tattered Board podcast finally got our act together to actually record ourselves yakking, one of the ideas we hit upon early was to invite our friends to talk about their own tattered board game. Well, Daniel Napolitano has graciously volunteered to be our first guest to talk about his favorite game. Is it Tammy Hall, Runewars, or Dominant Species? Nope, Dan surprises us by picking CO2! Listen below to hear why he picked this complex euro-style board game. Also, we give our review of Machi Koro.

Dan returns yet again to help us review one of his favorite games about building post office routes. Spoiler alert, it is definitely a game we all want to play again. We also talk about Cards Against Humanity, Warhammer 40,000: Conquest, Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery, and an amazing older card game called Dutch Blitz, which is one of the more surprisingly fun games we have played in quite a while. Tune in to our podcast which somehow turned into a more matured rated episode, thanks largely to Card Against Humanity!

We recently had the good fortune of knowing a fellow gamer who just received his Kickstarter copy of Fief: France 1429 this week from Academy Games. So, naturally, we pestered him to bring it over for us to play. And what a time we had with this one. Tune in for our review of this fantastic game. We also discuss Panamax, rant a bit over Warhammer Conquest, and give some shout outs to our fellow fiends, gamers, and podcasters.

Oh, and I got to play a game that made me wonder what the heck was going on when they designed this mess of a game.

In this episode:

1:36 – Gaming News!
7:02- Game We Have Been Playing
10:00 – Panamax Impressions
26:14 – Warhammer Conquest Rant
31:26 – Fief Feature Review

Machi Koro hits our table again this week, this time with a new expansion thrown into the mix. Does it make the game better or completely sink a game we already like quite a bit? We also discuss our first impressions of Star Wars: Imperial Assault, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, and XCOM: The Board Game. Throw in some news, some humor, and our returning guest Richard, and you got another entertaining episode of The Tattered Board!

We also wanted to give a quick shout out to a new gaming group we discovered at Amnesia Brewing on Thusday night. You guys were a blast to play with.

This week, we manged to get ourselves invited to a party! We join James and Kirsten Brady at Cloud Cap Games again for another remote podcast to participate in their Elysium Pre-Release Party. Jason Hancock from the Docking Bay 94 Podcast also joins us, along with regulars T.C., Dan, and Mike. It’s all about Elysium in this podcast, and we share if you should get this new release.
