This game is my new favorite game.I love the deduction element combined with trying to outwit other players on the board. The App adds so much to the game and I love mixing the components together to discover the different potions. This game has deduction, bluffing, outmaneuvering other players and offers a lot of things to think about.I am a fan of the deep and heavy games and this game definitely fits the bill.

If you are willing to get past the complicated rules, this game is the best. I try to get this game to the table as often as I can but with a three hour play time for 4 players it can get vetoed, but everyone I know who has agreed to play it has been glad they did.

This is one of the first of the heavy games that I have purchased. I love seeing your progress on your player board as your farm grows and takes shape.

I can understand why some people are annoyed with the constant requirement of feeding your family. It does prevent players from expanding if they don't plan for it. But that is why I love it. It makes the game far more challenging and makes it more strategic game instead of just a sandbox expansion of your farm. This game has been played far more than any other game and still has to be one of my favorites. This is a classic worker placement game

I honestly am not sure why I love this game so much. I enjoy the dice rolling that indicates your options on the board. It is a little random but the key to this game is trying to plan and mitigate the random roll and whoever can do this most effectively is usually the winner. I love the way the dice roll is integrated into this game. The tile laying in this game adds to the game also while trying to mitigate your rolls to be able to get the best possible tile for your player board.

The game components are nice but nothing extraordinary. It is the game mechanics that make this game stand out. This game is just fun.

Village is also a great game. I probably enjoy this game so much because of the twist on a worker placement game. I like the fact that your family members have a limited lifespan and it is up to you to make the most of their lives so they can be written into the towns chronicle.

I like the fact that the cubes represent something other than the standard goods, like faith, knowledge, skill and charisma and you gain those by guiding your family members through life. I probably put more thought into this game than most, but it draws me in with one of the most unique gameplay experiences in a game that I have played.

I am not normally a person who gets into games involving combat, however this game is the exception. The battles are a major factor in this game, but the game is more of an economic simulation. The game really requires that you balance your resources in order to become the more powerful civilization.

I love this game so much even the battles are fun and entertaining in this game.this is not a war game but definitely a heavy European board game. I am able to immerse myself into this universe and still get the depth of a heavy euro game. It is a great combination so it solidifies its spot as my fifth favorite games.Oddly enough I do not own this one but have played it with my game group many times.

Another one of Uwe Rosenbergs games has to make the list. I love the way you see your system build and improve. I know they tend to be fairly similar but I love them. Le Havre is like that where you see your harbour expanding with new buildings and resources.

I do like the fact the rules are so basic with this game, with just one action per turn, but there are endless number of options making this game extremely deep and a total mind cruncher. I also like the flexibility of using other players built building to achieve my end goal and all options are open to you if you are willing to pay for it. It is a classic resource management system.

This game does not often get requested because this is another game that will take over three hours although you would never even realize it once you are in the game.

Tzolkin is a very unique game that takes into account timing. Something I have not been able to put my head around since I frequently come in last in this game. The gameplay is not that complicated compared to some games that I have played. I seem to like unique game play mechanisms that are outside of the box.

I like the fact that every turn you either place onto the wheels or take off of the wheels to take your action at the right time. It is simple, but since you can't do both you need to identify the best time to pull and weigh that against the times to place. It is extremely deep and I love the fact the the board changes as the calendar rotates. This game is a hit in our group. It really sends you thinking whether you want to tie up your workers long term for big rewards or take small rewards along the way. I love that aspect of the game. In this game you have a limited amount of time before the game ends so you are constantly weighing these questions. Which is a happy grind.

City of Iron is another game that I really do love. It may not be well known but it has some really fun game play mechanisms. I like the deck building aspect of this game and how the cards you buy play a key roll in your overall strategy. Money is tight and the choices you make are all very important. There are so many choices to make in order to get resource majority, because of this , the game can be harder to play with those that are indecisive.

This game is one of the heaviest games that I own. It is terrific for those who love the heavy thinking games.

This game is just plain fun. This game in my opinion is one of the best produced game that I own. The artwork is beautiful, fun an entertaining. I really enjoy the way you build your buildings on the board to add to the economic engine and the battle over area control. The way the turns are structured is also very unique and the fact that if you pass early when youre spots are taken, it is not necessarily a bad thing.

The area control is a bit cutthroat and competitive which makes this game fun and the way you use the benefits from your building. There is definite tension in this game but with the type of artwork does not seem overwhelming. A really fun and unique game.

I really am not tired of this game, it is a classic. I love the interplay of all the players and the fact that my choices can affect everyone else's game. I love the calculating aspect and the constant questioning of whether the role I choose will benefit others more than me. I can understand how this can start to seem a little "samey" after a while. But I don't get tired of the game.
