Greg - "Oooops, I think I went too far" Politician Jeff - "The lone disloyal, loyal agent with sibling rivalry" Agent Mike M - "The loyal and serious Agent" Agent Bruce - "The laughing man" Agent Teddy- "I'm a victim of circumstances" Politician
Very fun game.
It took a while to get things figured out, but then we started cruising along, like we knew what we were doing or something.
We kind of figured there wasn't a terrorist in the game, and it seemed clear that Teddy was the other politician.
It was looking like the good guys were going to win this handily, but then I felt like I needed some more clout for VP's, so I figured spiking one little plot with a 9 value Jihad card wouldn't hurt (though Jeff nearly flipped the table). But then Teddy kind of had the same idea but with a different plot, so the bad guys were starting to catch up.
Jeff started going crazy with paranoia and began drone striking plots like crazy to keep Teddy from winning. It also kept the good guys from winning. Jeff began thinking Teddy was the terrorist with a diabolical plan to deceive us by acting like a politician.
As it turned out, we all lost and there was no terrorist amongst us. Mike and Bruce played it straight up and were doing what they could do for the good guy cause, as well as getting assets for VP's. Had we won, I had 3 more VP's than Teddy and would have won with 26 VP's.
But it was a great time and thematic how a couple politicians and a lunatic rogue agent caused such chaos.
Bruce (Zombie) - 5 Robbie (Lizard) - 5 Mike M. (Greenhorn) - 4 Greg (Laser) - 4
Mike should have finished with 5 too for a 3 way tie for first. But he was nice and allied with me at the end for a losing cause that cost him a shared victory, instead of a shared loss.
My alien kind of sucked, as his power is pretty useless unless used in a very specific situation. I got to attempt to use it only once, but then the power was zapped by Mike, and that was that. I had pretty crappy cards too, as they were just low to average numbers, so I never had gotten any cool power cards that allowed me to mess with others. No big deal though as for the most part I was able to piggyback my way to get 4 colonies, but it hurt me at the end when I had nothing when Robbie came after me to seal the deal.
