Hey Everybody. My name is Doron and I started recording videos providing walkthrough of board and card games. I now have in my collection more than 200 games and plan on providing a tutorial for each one of them. In an effort to keep videos as short as possible I may not cover all the rules, but I'm confident I can convey how a game works in a short recording.
If you like the style of walkthrough I do, feel free to request a walkthrough of anything you'd like to see, by listing it here. I like almost any theme and mechanics so I will make all effort to provide a playthrough for any request.
This IS my ultimate favorite game. Owned it for about a year, managed to play just about 10 games. Unfortunately, it is hard to find the right group to play this with, and other newer games have pushed this game aside. Time to bring this back to the table.
Currently my favorite co-operative game. The brilliance of one player communicating with the rest without any talking nor gestures, but only with cards that the others need to decipher. How cool is that?
A game that promotes creativity if played with kids especially. kind of a physical version of the mobile game 'Draw Something'. Designed by Vlaada Chvátil of Through the Ages, my all time favorite game. Fun fun fun party game.
if you've heard of Through the Ages, this game is somewhat a simplistic form of that. Though Through the Ages is my favorite game, I would play Nations more often as it is easier to set up ans takes less time to play. One of the best things I like about Nations is that you utilize only some card in the deck which makes it more interesting to play with less repeating cards.
You balance between 3 different goals. Your highest score is not necessarily your best score. Interesting programming mechanics. If this does not spark your interest, maybe the cool art in the 'Seasons' world will.
This is a game that can be played with standard chess pieces. However, the cool miniatures and theme of animals was a major deciding part of adding this to my collection. Simple neat idea, combined with only a number of rules. Though a heavy 2 player game, you can introduce it to younger player one rule at a time. Worked with my 8 years old.
I like playing this game with my 8 year old. simple rules and cute theme make this game a great family game. HOWEVER, don't let this mislead you. There can be great strategy which usually works in favor of more experienced gamers. Luckily it takes only couple of games for some strategy to click.
As of this writing, Snake Oil is considered my favorite party game. Ton of fun packed into a deck of cards. Oh - there is scoring involved but in my gaming group we never cared. The amount of laughs you get out of this is what makes this a great game.
Fun family game to play with young ones. All you really need is dexterity skill, this combined with simple rules can make you the winner. I admit I failed most of the times I played this with my 8 year sold son.
Yet another game I purchased to play with my kids. Simple rules combined with good luffing skills if you have them can reward you with a victory. I had not realized how well of a bluffer my 8 years old is. Makes me wonder...
2 player game with a good theme. Sometimes the necessity of having 2 cards of same 'rank' in order to acquire higher level cards can be challenging, but with more experience and some luck the boss in you comes out.
