We all have games that instantly resonate, and we hope will get played many more times. And we all have games that we're pretty sure we don't care if we play again, or don't want to play again, after one play.

What about the games you've played several times that you're still not sure whether you like it or not?

Created by a designer I love. Designed for specifically 3p. Seems to have all the right elements, but somehow never quite clicks.

I've played 10-ish times, and while I've definitely seen / learned some tactics, there isn't anything that seems like a great strategy. Great meaning effective while being fun to pull off.

It would never be the game I was dying to get to the table, but it's one I'd readily play again if somebody suggested.

This one I enjoy much more than After The Flood, but I've played almost 10 times and I still mess up basic stuff. But I just want to keep trying it. There aren't many games I've ever played 10 times, still got myself into a painted-in corner, but still wanted to go again. Especially a game of this length.

I may easily give up on this one before I figure out how to out-maneuver the equivalent of bankruptcy.

Wouldn't want to play a base-game, and would probably avoid an in-person game regardless of expansions, but find it somewhat compelling online with much larger boards and sculpted layouts for boards. I know it's really popular, and I understand why and am grateful that it is.

I was really excited about this game after a couple of great reviews, so I picked up a base set and a handful more ships, giving a little bit of variety for rebels and empire. I played through a couple rounds of the simple game to get the hang of the rules, then tried a points match.

It fell completely flat. The meta game of min/maxing a build never really appealed to me (one of the reasons I avoid CCGs), so I was really relying on the gameplay itself to make the game exciting. Instead, it seemed like a whole lot of "I roll a hit and you roll a dodge, let's circle around and do it again". I'm starting to think that dice-resolved combat just really doesn't work for me. Also, for a game that was supposed to feel like a dogfight, it seemed to drag on longer than I would like it to.

I found the movement part of the game quite rewarding, and still hope I can find a way to enjoy the combat, but am hesitant to invest in any more ships without any confidence that the game is ever really going to 'click' for me.

I'm still on the fence. Everything about the nerd inside me wants to be excited about beautiful little pre-painted minis, lots of good components, and custom dice, but every time I think about bringing it to the table again, I end up choosing something else. At the same time, I can't bring myself to get rid of my small handful of ships, and I often stare longingly at the Falcon every time I'm at the FLGS.

I've played about 40 sessions of this now (approx 75% of those are on the iOS), which sounds like I surely must like the game if it's drawn me in that many times, right? And yet, every time I finish a game, I'm left with this somber feeling. I've caught myself a few times saying, "I'm done. I don't want to play this game anymore". A couple weeks later, I'll find I'm trying to talk myself into "just one last go and we'll see if it changes my mind". Done this quite a few times now.

I don't know what it is. I find the overall game to be a very mediocre and occasionally frustrating experience. I give it a very middle-of-the-road rating of "6". It's not truly deficient in any respect but it also doesn't really excite me in any way either. So why is it that I just haven't given up on this one completely? Honestly, I think that has to do with the iPad and the occasional stretch of lonely quiet-time. I can pretty confidently say that I don't want to play the table-top version ever again. But the app...

I have played only 4 games, all 2 player ones. The game is very popular here, and has many fans. After first play I thought it was mediocre. Now I see some appeal, but still don't value it high. Could this be the case, when expansion is obligatory?

I can tell it is an excellently well-crafted game with great balance that is a testimony to its play-testing. There are TONS of choices and a good back-and-forth battle that makes you sacrifice some places and weigh a number of risk/reward options. The direct player interaction is good - effective and meaningful, yet not too abrasive. But, meh, the theme is blase, it develops very slowly, the end game just sort of happens, and overall it's really not all that tense and exciting...?

Still on the fence about this one. I've played it solo a few times and do enjoy it. I am trying to get it on the table with a group of friends. I have the bounty hunter's expansion but not Blue Sun. I didn't want to sink in that much money without playing it more.

I'm for sure getting it to the Table on my B-day (end of May) and I will try to decide then. I think I want to like it more than I do like it.
