When I think of confusing, I think of things that cannot happen. When I think of things that can't happen, I think of M.C. Escher. I'm no Escher (my fiance thought I was doing some nice art deco artwork though), but this is what I thought up when thinking about this contest and him. Borders? What borders? Enjoy.

Though the situation in Asoria is tense, there is no war. The country’s territory is under Asorian government control. The information about separatist forming Tjaug’s People Republic and declaring independence is false. There is no conflict, no causalities, no war. That’s what they’ll hear.

You are not involved in this mission in any way. You will not control infantry and mecha units, you will not secure objectives and you will not manipulate mass media in our favor. In fact, you are not with the Forces anymore, you are discharged as of yesterday.

Good luck, commander.

I tried to channel my confusion about some real worlds events into a game, and I came up with bluffing microgame about a denied conflict in near future. The more powerful actions you use, the more evidence of war crimes you get, which can then be used against you. Win by defeating the enemy or by persuading international community to intervene on your behalf (while your opponent is trying to do the same). Also, a glimpse of Front Mission-inspired mecha.

In The Crowd players represent people trying to work their way through a crowd to the front row so they can have the best view of a parade, concert, performance, or whatever is going on way up there! It sure would be nice to be able to see!

Crowds are confusing, complex things. Moving through a crowd is a challenge in anticipating the movements of those around you and finding space to move forward. Sometimes the crowd doesn't always work with you the way you want, pushing you in a direction other than that in which you want to go. In The Crowd you are trying to work your way from the back rows of a crowd in order to have a prime viewing spot for the passing parade. The first player to reach the front of the crowd is the winner.

Also needed: 1D6 die for solo play.

Long way home is a game for 3-6 players who play as ideas in a one drunk guys head. The winner is the one with most victory points at the end of a game. The game ends when he returns home, faints, sobers up or his wife finds him. Each player has secret mission that can give him 5vp, and 3 other that can give him 1vp during game, but after finishing one he gets another. Each player has hand of actons they can play, but their Drunkman will do all of them so you need to be careful... if you want to drink something do it fast, or you might drop it, or hit someone with it.

As for printing, print each page once, except actions page, which you print once per player. You also need one die, and miniature of any kind to be Drunman.

Kodama
A tile-shifting game for 3-4 players

by

flag msg tools

Players are Kodama, Japanese forest spirits, competing (and occasionally working together) to increase their influences in the shrines in the four villages that lie on the edges of the forest. They do this by moving tiles in the forest to control the journeys of those who seek to travel between the villages… sometimes steering them to their destination, sometimes leading them elsewhere. But occasionally, travellers with ill-hearts will enter the forest, and then it is up to the forest spirits to ensure that these folk do not return to their villages, or it will challenge the faith of those who trust the spirits.

Players manipulate tiles and play cards to control the forest and thus change the paths that the travellers journey along, seeking to spread their influence most effectively.

Spectrum is a game about accomplishing your own secret goals by following unique movement rules that only apply to you, while also trying to guess other Players' patterns! It is a game for 3-6 people, and I recommend bringing a post-it pad and a pen.

Each player plays a famous Mind Master. These people have telepathic abilities, which allow them to read the minds of others and exchange and extract memories from there.

Every year, the greatest of these Mind Masters meet in a battle for sanity. During these tournaments, they try to bring the most precious memories of each opponent into the foreground, so that they can access and delete these thoughts forever. But the stakes for these fights are high and exhausting. Only the ones who keep their most precious memories hidden until the end will stay sane.

P.S.: I'm very sorry, the P&P file is terribly huge. But I have to go to bed now snore

The countdown deck is 11 cards (10-0). Each player starts a turn by drawing a card, playing a card and flipping a card on the countdown deck. Once the Countdown deck hits 0, the grenade explodes and kills whoever it is in front of. Rounds are replayed until one player remains.

Cards:
Change Location: 3 cards - switch seats with the player of your choice
Change Cards: 3 cards - switch cards with the player of your choice
Awol: 3 cards - play this card and leave the table
Speed up: 3 cards (+1, +2, +3) - when you flip a number card add the number
Slow down: 3 cards (-1, -2) - when you flip a number card subtract the number.
Toss grenade: 2 cards - pick up grenade and place it in front of the player of your choice
You’re punished: 2 cards - you have to do 20 push ups or sit ups.
Countdown: 11 cards (10-0) - When the deck reaches zero, the grenade explodes

Shut eye: 1 card - free pass one round

Set Up
• The strongest person is the dealer and will go first.
• Place the countdown cards in order face down in a separate pile (10-0) 10 on the top, zero on the bottom.
• Take out the grenade and place it in front of the dealer.
• Shuffle the remainder cards and deal one card to each player.

Play
Each player will always start with one card in their hand.
When the dealer starts they draw one card, play one card and flip one card in the countdown pile.
Play continues in a clockwise order around the table.
The grenade moves around the table following the person's whose turn it is.

Follow the rules on the cards. Once you are eliminated, wait for the next round.
Each round is last man standing.
There are cards in the game that require physical activity!

Form a discard pile near the draw deck. If all the cards in the draw pile are gone, re-shuffle the cards in the discard pile and continue play.

The winner of each round gets to choose one card from the card they want to eliminate from the game, that card mill be used as a victory point. first person to get 3 cards wins (4-6 player)
More than 6 players, you can play either way, the other way being, win once, you win.
