I'm merely keeping the contest going until Cerith returns.

New Feature:

One random thumber will receive a bonus of 5bag!

Contest Rules:

1) Add the game of the miniature(s) you painted as an item to the list. You may submit images of a single miniature or a group at your discretion.

2) The image you submit must have been uploaded during March 2015. Gallery images are okay but submitted images are preferred. As they've gone through the rigorous geek mod process it means at least someone has checked the submission conforms to BGG guidelines and it's also easier to check the submission date. The contest will end on 30 April 2015.

3) Please use the format [imageid=xxxxxmedium] where xxxxx is the id of the picture. Medium should be sufficient please do not use large.

4) You are the artist. Please do not submit miniatures painted by someone else.

5) One entry per person. You may, however, use either:

a. up to two 'normal' pictures of your entry, usually, the front and back of the miniature(s); OR
b. one image of a montage/collage of your entry.

6) The winner will be the picture with the most thumbs. You can thumb as many as you like.

7) If you can; please note the make of the mini, scale and what paints you used in your entry.

Prizes:

I'm reliant on tips to offer prizes. Any tips received will awarded as follows:

1st place: 35%
2nd place: 25%
3rd place: 15%
Encouragement Awards 25%

Note I have altered this at my discretion - this may change when Cerith retakes the reigns.

Encouragement awards will be given to non-placing worthy entries with a bias to new participants. New painters are particularly welcome to enter and pleas do use the comment section for each miniature to discuss painting techniques, materials, share tutorial videos & etc.

Judging at the end of the month and winners will appear in the next months’ list.

1st place will now also receive an exclusive microbadge! mb

Please give this geeklist a thumb to help get it to the front page. The more contestants the better!

And don't forget to click on the images you like and give the actual images thumbs up as well!

Here is a pair of 28mm metal miniatures is from Reaper Miniatures. I think that, as chance would have it, they were painted exclusively with Vallejo paints. Vallejo inks and Old GW inks and washes were also used.

Having missed the last couple of months I finally have something to offer.

I did these for the 2014 JVMF auction. They are painted with Vallejo paints and washes.

THE FLYING FANNY

In the dark autumn of 1940 as the forces of the Wermacht overran the bulk of the British Isles, some areas held out, especially around Wales, Cornwall, Liverpool and Scotland. North of the border, Erwin Rommel's Ghost Panzer division advanced on Glasgow.

As a last resort, the Provisional Scottish Government lead by the Laird of Tossmacaber released the inmates of His Majesty's Prison Barlinnie. These not only threw 7th Panzer back across the border with various broken bottle and razor wounds, but also nicked the tyres and tracks from their armoured vehicles, thus temporarily ending the first invasion of Scotland.

The Laird of Tossmacaber was so proud that he named his favourite train after his good wife Fanny Tossmacaber (nee Worthington-Smythe) but, unfortunately the train was captured by the Germans, converted into a troop train and painted accordingly.

Before the paint job

IMPORTANT: Now, please don't think that, just because this is a toy train, that I don't take my wargaming seriously. Also, when moving the train, it helps if you go, "Choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-choo..."

Classic Warhammer Fantasy Night Goblin Champion (from the good ol' days of Warhammer; sculpted by Kev Adams). It was painted with Citadel colors (some jars were quite old, so much so that the green I used for this model was still called "goblin green" ).

Update: I forgot to mention: in case anyone is interested in the technique I used to paint this mini, I have a detailed tutorial explaining it with lots of pictures at the following link:

Not "dude" minis, but plastic buildings (Fief buildings pack).

Height is around 15mm high for the templar's commanderies, around 40mm for the teutonic knights' strongholds.

Painted mostly with Vallejo Model.

This is my 1000 pt boar themed Orc and Goblin army that I took to Adepticon for the team tourney. It was a ton of fun to play and I was really happy with how the paint and basing came together.
