We got this game intending to play a campaign ourselves but after our first attempt Michael was a little uninterested in loosing as the Imperials in a two player game. We found renewed interests when we signed up for a campaign in our local meetup group and we even started our two player campaign over again. We were also inspired to paint the minis for this game and though they're not all finished yet I think they're looking really great.
We've had this game for a while and have always enjoyed it as a filler or entry level game at our game nights. We decided to add this game because it's one we really appreciate having in our collection.
We got this game a few months ago and have had lots of fun playing it with both our gaming group and non-gamers alike. Even though we had to go to the printing store and have some player aids made this is still a really solid party game that everyone seems to like. We easily hit 10 plays with this game so I've added it to the list.
This was Michael's Christmas gift to me last year and it's something we've both really enjoyed. I fell in love with the theme and art well before we got it and after playing with some standard decks a few times we knew we had to get even more cards to build our custom *murder* decks. I thought I added this game to our hardcore list but apparently not, so I've added it here now.
We played this game first a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun. When we looked for a copy everywhere was sold out but Michael ended up calling all of the FLGS around here and found a copy. He ran out to get it the morning his parents were visiting so that we could play it with them. Since then we've played it about 20 times. This game definitely belongs on our list.
We played this game for the first time at Whosyercon this year and even though it's nothing to look at Michael really fell in love with this game. We've yet to get our own copy (we keep holding out for a more "deluxe" version) but we've had numerous opportunities to play it.
The first time I played this game last year I was Merlin and I forgot who the bad guys were. Since then We've play this game and Resistance many times and they have been some of the more memorable gaming experiences we've had. I still think back to that hour and a half game of Resistance at Geekway where the game took an hour and a half and Greg and I fooled them into putting him on the final mission and we won!
I have to admit I'm a Stonemaier FanGirl. I've loved every one of their games and I think Michael feels similar. Because of this when we got a chance to play test the up and coming Scythe we jumped on it. We did so several times and got to show the game to others who were interested in backing the game kickstarter but hadn't made the commitment yet. We have to wait until August next year to get our copy, but we still have our print and play copy to hold us over until then.
Michael used to be a huge fan of Pandemic and he's always loved the idea of a legacy style game where surprises happen and the game is constantly changed. Because of that he was really excited when a couple friends asked us to join their Pandemic Legacy campaign. I have to admit I wasn't as excited about it as Michael but I've really enjoyed it since we started. We're over half way through and it's become the highlight of the week for us.
We started playing this on our Tuesday game nights when one of our friends started bringing it around. We don't actually own a copy but the game has been so popular in our group and we've enjoyed it so much that it's made our 10x10 list.
