Are you a "One Game" person
- Jonathan PinderUnited States
I feel like I've been on a quest to find my 'one true game.' Reading GeekList after Geeklist; buying games upon games (not such a bad thing); reading pdfs of rule upon rules, playing game after game. All in quest to see if I can find the one game I want to play to the exclusion of all others; that 'desert isle' game - the one I'd have on my desert isle with my desert isle food (peanut butter and bagels and beer).Recommend
In my quest I have considered such things as bits and pieces, theme, amount of randomness, degree of competitiveness versus cooperation (the Diplomacy to Pandemic scale). My family and I have mashed up various games (Carcassonne with Star Wars figures combating for a monastery is pretty fun) all in order to determine what makes an ideal game for me.
So, now I am curious does such a game exist for others? Is it a portfolio of games to satisfy different moods? Please chime in with your thoughts and opinions.
