I have a modest collection of roughly 10-12 games at the moment. I am pretty happy with it right now but, as is the nature of this hobby, there is always something that comes along and peaks our interest. I want to get the most out of my current collection and really experience what these games have to offer. To do this, I am going to be working on a 10x10 challenge for 2015. Most of this will consist of playing with my SO, older brother, and a couple friends here and there but hopefully this will present an opportunity to not only play my games but also have my group grow. I'm excited to get this underway so without further ado, here is my 10x10 list:

I know that Eldritch Horror is widely touted as the better game but I, and the people I play Arkham with, quite enjoy the first Lovecraftian juggernaut. I mean, who doesn't enjoy running around a dilapidated city as you try to stop unthinkable horrors from destroying mankind? Have yet to defeat Cthulu himself and his buddy Yog-Sotthoth (seriously. Yog is a pain in the ass) but this time...or next time...or the...BY THE END OF THIS CHALLENGE THEY WILL FALL! Oh. That's actually a good sub-challenge: Playing through all of the Ancient Old Ones finally.

I already have several plays of this one under the belt but I won't count those for the challenge.

I LOVE his game. I am a big fan of co-ops, especially ones that have a lot of theme. Boy does this game have theme. It has been an utter delight getting destroyed by this game and barely winning the few times I have. Having only played the 1st scenario, I am looking forward to trying out some of the others.

A more recent addition to our collection, I don't forsee any issues getting this one to the table. The few times I have played it I have really enjoyed it and so has everyone else. Mancala meets Meeples and Djinns? Sounds like a recipe for success!

Ah yes, 7 Wonders. One of the top rated games here on BGG and I can see why. It took me quite some time to actually give in and buy this one. I haven't had it very long but have tried both the 3 and 2 player variants. Had a blast with both so I am looking forward to exploring what this game has to offer.

This is pretty much the only worker placement game that I own. I am not counting Five Tribes because that is just a world all its own (worker...manipulation? Idk). I know it isn't the most complex game, but I enjoy it for what it is and I like the art involved. Should be fun to get a few more plays out of this by using it as an intro/bait game for some newcomers.

The first "modern" board game that I ever bought. So glad that I did because not only did Pandemic break the Monopoly mold for me, it also introduced me to co-op board games. Something that has rapidly become one of my favorite mechanics in board gaming. It will be a breeze to get 10 plays out of this staple. Who knows? Maybe after the challenge we will add State of Emergency to it to really spice things up.

Never understood the appeal of Hanabi until I tried it. I'm glad I did because Hanabi is great. This is my SO and I's favorite pick up and play game. So simple yet so engaging and, once again, co-op. Seeing a theme here? Hanabi will be a breeze to get 10 plays out of so my secondary goal will be upping the player count and using the multi-color cards. I'll also be playing Hanabi in conjunction with Love Letter so for the purposes of this challenge they will count as one. (See Love Letter listing).

I'm not counting this one as its own game in the list. I will instead be putting this together with Hanabi. Love Letter is so short and simple that it doesn't make sense to give it its own spot on the list but since I can't list it in conjunction with Hanabi it will get its own spot. I like Love Letter well enough and for the $5 I spent to add it to my collection, I would definitely say it is worth it. Love (hehe) using it as a warm-up or precursor to some of my other games or even taking it with me as I travel. Shouldn't be too difficult to get 10 plays.

The zombie horse has been absolutely beaten to death. Pop-culture has really driven the theme into the ground the past several years. Even though the theme needs some refreshing and there are better zombie games out there (Looking at you Dead of Winter), this is the one that I own and I still enjoy it. One of the first modern board games I played, I still have fun with it trying out the co-op variant and adding in the new mechanics with the 3.5 expansion. Living in Oregon, this will be perfect for those dark and stormy nights where things seem a bit eery.

Now this one might actually be somewhat difficult to get to the table. Though I like Tokaido for what it is, and love the art work,it is not as mentally stimulating as some of the others I have on this challenge. That being said, Tokaido could be great as a warm up before some heavier games like Arkham or Robinson Crusoe. At any rate, I am putting it on the challenge so by jove I will get this game to the table! If for nothing more than to admire the beautiful artwork.

Now, I don't actually own this game but my older brother (whom I play with often), brings it over a decent amount of times that I think it is safe to add it to the challenge. I haven't played this game a great deal but I would like to explore it a bit more. I find it interesting that I don't really enjoy the show at all but I do enjoy the board game. It could be a bit more streamlined but after playing Arkham and Crusoe the concepts and clunky rulebook weren't too difficult to grasp. Looking forward to playing this some more. And no, I am not a Cylon. Or is that something a Cylon would say? Just kidding. Of course I'm a Cylon! Prepare to get wrecked by a Super Crisis.
