Some game publishers have taken a page from the old drug dealers handbook. "The first hit is free." Here's a list of games series that have free introductory entries (and said free games). Feel free to add any that I have missed!

The current GMT Games iteration of this series has a free entry that goes with it's game Gringo! It's Churubusco, and covers the eponymous battle. There used to only be JPEGS available, but now the counters and map are also available in PDF form, which has the advantage of being properly scaled. You'll also have to download the series rules, and it's all available from GMT's website under their Living Rules section.

Another great series published by GMT, they offer Agincourt as a free game in their Living Rules section. Again, you will have to download the series rules as well to play. The graphics are from the old BSO Games publication, so they're not quite up to GMT standard, but they're still pretty good and it's fun to be able to play this famous battle.

This one has two freebies! Montebello and Espinosa. Both are avaiable for download from Multiman Publishing under their Series Support section. Montebello pairs up great with Marengo, because they cover battles from the same campaign. Espinosa compliments Talavera (although not as closely), since they both cover Peninsular War battles.

A free print-and-play scenario of Panzer Grenadier from the game Panzer Grenadier: Kursk – Burning Tigers is downloadable from their website:

http://www.avalanchepress.com/PlayPG.php

(Note: I have not printed or played it, but at a quick glance it looks like the stuff you need is there.)

As Russ pointed out, there's also a free scenario for the World War I version of Panzer Grenadier, Infantry Attacks.

It can be found here:
