First game of the day. We chose a game that wasn't too easy to win to start with. It was early in the morning, our minds were still sharp. All was looking rather fine, we weren't devoured right away, but we seemed to struggle to get the mysteries done.

No real progress, plus a giant elite spider wiped us. in the end. Long game, lots of fun, but off to a bad start: Man 0-1 Boardgame

We were reaching noon, so my way too kind miss was getting us some food. We had some time left before she returned with some sandwiches. And after a long game of Eldritch Horror, the time seemed fit for a fast fun game. The goal was 17+ in Hanabi. We had a nice and lovely firework in the end, with lots of yellow, but not enough blue to reach our 17 target: Our firework received a score of 16.

0-2 versus. A bad start, no doubt. BUt this one was closer of the first one. We were getting there!

After the food was devoured, cthulhu-style, we went for game number 3: Legendary. I think I win 90%+ of my Legendary-games, so I felt like this was going to be the change for us, mere mortals, versus the cardboard.

We had to prevent bystanders being carried away from the villains. Our HQ provided us with awesome heroes, right from the start. Too bad they're bloody expensive as well then...

By the time we got our decks getting somewhere, The villains were heading for an easy touchdown. We failed. Hard. Very Hard. SuperHeroHard.

0-3. This is getting silly. We're trained boardgamers, for petes sake!

Ok, Boardgame made a hattrick, and we were still struggling to get our first point of the day. So I decided to bring in another game we have a nice win % on: Forbidden Desert.

This time it was my brother-in-law who ran out of water. The bloody heat got to him way too soon. I had one last chance to save the game: we got to a water-tile together, and I turned the tile to get us all some refreshments, but I was mistaken! There was no water there, only dust! It seems the heat had driven me insane as well. (Or I still suffered from it since Eldritch Horror earlier that day, that's another possibility...)

I have to admit this was the point I started to fear to win the MANvsBOARDGAME challenge: 0-4 with 3 games I thought that would be a win.

Ok, game 5 then. Saving some gnomes in a submarine for an hour. Seems easy, you say?

It's not that easy for a bunch of people who can't make a nice firework, save city from villains, or survive in the desert.

This time it was bloody easy to pinpoint the guy who made us wipe: My collegue said he took a big turn so he would have more time to visit the bathroom. But a big turn = much events to encounter in a fast pace.

It was the heat marker that reached 0 that killed us in this game. Well, it was the bad decision-making of Kris, tbh. But we called it the heat-marker, to ease his mind. We needed a good atmosphere to win 6 games in a row after all...

Yeah, we needed to win 6 games in a row. Since after this game the score was 0-5 already. Sadness...

Sixth game then.

We chose a map called "finding the keys" I think. I can't recall the name exactly. I have every possible expansion of zombicide, so many different kind of zombies came our way.

Things were looking rather grim, from the start of this game. But we found some good weapons at the right time that saved the day for us! The crows were some annoying buggers early in the game, and the toxic zombies were the main threat later in the game, but we managed to reach the exit zone.

First win was made, so we brought the score back to 1-5! Now everything was possible! Our comeback had started!!!

In this game, the generals felt we were struggling, so they took a nice steady pace to our safehaven, Monarch City.

We took down the orc general quite fast, and we felt we had a nice chance to win, but then the Black general (don't remember his name, think Varkolakk) thought he needed some more exercise and speeded up his speed towards monarch City. I needed to hit him for 3 wounds to take him down, and had 7 dice to roll 3 dice of 4+. This was by far the worst roll of the evening: 1 1 1 1 1 2 5 ... I couldn't stop him, and my companions were too far away, or not able to stop him either.

The black general marched into Monarch city, and finished all our hope: he brought the 1-6 on the scoreboard. No possibility to win our MANvsBOARDGAME day anymore.

It was getting quite late already after the 7 games, so we decided to call it. The cardboard had won. But we live to fight another day, a rematch is incoming, no doubt!

We wanted to finish the day with another win, so we played another game of Legendary. The first game we played was lost way too soon, so we opted to try it again.

This game we won, fairly easy. Red Skull was no match for our hero-strike-team.

After this game, we called it a day. It was getting late, and we won the last game of the evening, which made us a bit happier. We didn't take this win into the final score tho:

1-6 was still the final score, this game of legendary was just for funz.

Other games I had planned were Atlantis Rising, Dead of Winter, Carnival Zombie and Flash Point. But as stated already; that was unnecessary: the cardboard had already won ... :'(
