Mentor Games (Creating Games in the Classroom)
- Sarah BonillaUnited States
I teach a Literacy unit in my sixth grade classroom that uses writing strategies to create tabletop games. The students write a narrative for the game, write an instructional booklet for the game, and write an argumentative presentation for the game. To help them along with the process, I ask the students to pick a Mentor Game. This game helps guide them, especially when writing an instructional booklet, during the game creation process.Recommend
These are some of the games that the students played during their "research" phase prior to choosing a Mentor Game.
