I joined a random group and had fun with this game playing it for the first time... even as Kevin I believe his name was asked if I played this before. Fairly simple game, so it was easy to seem like I had. Lost at a respectable 42 points! If only I hadn't forgotten that I need to turn in cards for points BEFORE placing tiles. Ah well.

Marieke, Greg, Kevin and Myself played this and Marieke ended up owning us all. Admittedly, I was getting into the game as Kevin said he was losing interest, but we managed to play till the end!

I am going to highjack this geek list slightly and also confess where I was last night. Last night I went to a friend's house to play a couple of games before he goes away for a little over two months.

When I got there, he had this already set up, knowing it was something I wanted to get played. Without any of the expansions, I fared reasonably well for a first-time, finishing second, with his wife winning and him trailing, as he was preparing for his big move. He apparently had played almost exclusively two-player, so that messed up his timing. I also conveniently got in his way a couple of times.

I am a little concerned that it will be too much for my family, but I might be able to figure out how to explain it.

Then we played this game that THEY wanted to play. We both like Kramer/Kiesling a lot, so it is easy to get those to the table. I think I had never played three player, but had played two once. It works pretty well at all the counts and probably deserves more play. The order of finish was the same, though it took the money tie-breaker for Irene to beat me.

They definitely want to play again.
