Completely unrelated to PNP, yet I wanted to point this thread out to those who haven't seen it yet.

If you think you know a Geek special enough to deserve a star, just nominate him adhering to the rules given in the thread.

Onwards to a pretty PNP game:

One Deck Dungeon is a dungeon crawler with some interesting mechanics:
Each obstacle (monster or trap) requires certain combination of dice in order to be overcome.
After beating an obstacle, you decide what kind of loot you take from it - and the decision is always tense.
With the player(s) descending in the dungeon, the game's mechanics let the monsters become tougher by giving them buffs that depend on the main villain in the dungeon.

All in all, the One Deck Dungeon is a very clever and very pretty designed dungeon crawler.

You can find the PNP files in the forums section of this game's entry.

Just finished this one, the box was the only thing missing until today.

Unfortenately I didn't like the cover art that much (and the size didn't fit the box without taking the name of the Designer) as opposed to the cards artwork which is awesome and rivals with many of the best games. So I made a new cover. Hope you like it.

Here are the pictures.

Grabbed the PNP for this kickstarter, planning on getting this one to the table this weekend. If the game play is as good as the art I'll be backing this for sure.

I recently picked up the base game (daily sale at CSI) and couldn't help getting a few of the wave I expansions, to give the system a fair shot.

Then I had to figure out how to store it all. I started shopping for Plano-type storage boxes and reading the storage threads in the forums, when I came across these fantastic tuck-box "hangers" and "gear boxes" from SirWillibald:

SirWilli's MicroHangars & GearBoxes

Some pictures (not my work!):

From gallery of SirWillibald

From gallery of SirWillibald

With those, I'll be able to get everything into the base game box and won't need to spend $50 on Plano. Thanks SirWillibald!

I'm not being patient enough to do a really good job on these (each squadron gets its own box!), but you can get good workable results with scissors and white glue while watching TV.

Another one made.

This one I really recommend you to do. It's fairly easy (6 cards, 5 dice X 5 colors. Easy rules, Box avaliable on the Files Section although I think I will do another one. But most important of all, really fun to play, a very good filler.

Finished 18AL last month, time to move forward and expand the collection onwards and upwards!

Edit: last minute change of heart pushed me towards 18EU. Everything printed, just waiting for some blades and glue to arrive in the mail!

Progress: everything is glued to cardstock, laminated and 50% of the tokens are mounted. The only thing I am hesitating on right now is the map, does anyone have experience with mounting maps of this side, also trying to figure out how to laminate it with adhesive laminate sheets...

Reccomended to young kids, easy and fun to play. Since I made an error when I was sending the box to the printer (printed in multiple) I decided to salvage the mistake and made an extra dice tray.

By the way, the Box was made by me and it's also avaliable in here

Despite just received (and it played twice) Galaxy Command, I thought I would finally do the work in the parent game, since I had it printed out already, but haven't done it. It also gives me a good option to see the difference at this version and the reimplementation.

The cards are the re-themed cards, with Card-sized rules, and card sized Player mats. I am considering if I should ask Igor to make a fold-a-box for it, or use the tuckbox... personally I think Pard's boxes are nicer.

The cards are in thin paper, but will be glued onto business cards for extra sturdynes.

I will add photos as the work on the game goes.
This game will be played as soon as it is finished! I really need to see the difference between the two versions (this is also why I picked the re-theme, as it seems to have more cards than the original, just as the new edition by Worthington Publishing, LLC have.

Saw this little co-op card game with an interesting theme and figured I'd whip it up. It's screaming for a fancy art design but this is the prototype so it'll give me a good chance to try it out first.

Inspired by an earlier post, I got the files for this one. I printed everything for a quick build, so I can test this with my group and give the designer some feedback.

The files are excellent, btw. Everything was clear and organized with an easy build in mind.

I glued a transparency sheet over the back of each tile page to try and give some rigidity to the blueprints. I'll use some handfuls of tokens for gems and rockets. Included in the files are scoring sheets that let you play without physical tokens, but my group will appreciate the tactile feel of the bits.

Letting glue cure over night, and pics in the morning when it's all cut out.

I took this idea from this thread. I already had the comonents on hand, so I decided to make my own copy of Weilong.

I used heavy black cardstock to make the boxes. I had never tried this before so I was learning as I went.

The dice came from a dollar store and are not high quality. If I like the game enough I might upgrade.

Taking inspiration from another user on here, I created my retheme of Container, now called "SPACE CONTAINER".

Here is a shot of the first play, this was with 4 players. (that game supports 5)

From gallery of abodi

Here is my planet where I produce containers, and my space ports where containers are prepared for travel to earth.

I made 5 unique planets, all from various sources and then adding some filters and modifications to these planets (and earth) to make them like kinda cartoony, and unify the look a little.

The silver blocks, are 2 of the balsa container blocks glued together.

The cubes shown down the bottom are 2cm x 2cm in size. I had a bunch laying around from my Manhattan Project pnp, so I painted them in the appropriate colours.

Two space freighters docked at earth having just delivered a bunch of containers. Containers are made from balsa and painted in 5 colours.

This is from the second game, which despite having the most containers I came third of four.

a shot of the containers, the poker chips we use for money, the freighters hauling goods, and the loan certificates (from the bgg files section)

I didn't take a great shot of the ships, so here is a pic from my photoshop file. The ship I found on Deviantart, It was initially this burnt orange colour, so i made a bunch of colour adjustments to make unique ships and also added ship names.

I took inspiration from some pics I saw in other threads here and made the goals cards. cut and sleeved them.

I'm quite happy with the build and very happy with the game. we played it twice and it was a hit for everyone. The game plays in about 2 hours and the game has very minimal rules.

Just printed up the first "episode" of the new Tabletop Novel, GrowthBreaker.

Quote:
This is a card game for anyone to play alone. It contains whimsical items, enjoyable places, and helpful friends. Your heroes will be challenged by unexpected choices in their quest to reach the goals of each season, which are broken up into serialized decks known as episodes.
This is the blurb which captured my attention, and I am intrigued by the idea of decks released weekly over several months.

The first (demo?) episode weighs in at all of 21 cards. Having seen both FTGC's ready for prime time and not ready for prime time Tabletop Novels in action, I am excited to see how much can be packed into these starting cards.

Quote:
You’ll start in the farming town of Baburu and explore the world as you Grow and Break friendships, plants, alliances and yourself in this truly original work from my friend and yours: Joshua Rizzo. The game is based on Joshua’s love for Manga, anime, Nintendo, Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh! and the childhood emotions he seems to be escaping to and from at the same time every moment of his waking life.
I have no sense of whether this is going to be a free PnP, a subscription service or some other model, but whatever the case, I expect to be on board.

I'll post more one I actually get it to the table . . .

This is a nice "explore the labyrinth" + "push your luck" game that I played 3 times with my 7yo kid, we both love it.

I've just printed the board on 4 pages and laminated it to make a quad-fold. The coins have been replaced with jewel beads (see GL item picture) and I have a nice treasure chest I had gathered.

The tokens have been applied on floor tiles. To make the thicker ones, I've used three layers of floor tiles... that was hard to cut !

Castle builders is another game designed for the children, I tried it once with my kid. For me it feels a little flat but my son loves it. I still have to try the expansions.

The game feels a little like Best Treehouse Ever but simpler.

The art is really nice
