I saw this posted on BGG around the time the solo contest was ended. Since it was a solo game I added it to my print queue. No components other than a board and a few dice.

I've been building several of the games for the 2015 18 Card Contest.

Great Micro Game
This is one of the games I'm most excited about this year. I love the idea of an 18 card CDG. Looks like a very smart design!

I also put this game from the 2015 18 Card Contest together. It's a matching game for kids but with a fun twist that the cards are always sliding around so it's a challenge to remember where the cards are.

I've continued work on my own game for the 2015 Childrens' Game Print and Play Design Contest.

Tastes of Siege

I created a set of printable components for the game (available on the Entry Thread). I may tweak the values on the cards slightly but I think this is getting pretty close to final.

I'm also working on two entries for the 2015 18 Card Contest. Right now this is a hand-drawn components because I'm currently taking the game back to he drawing board to make it a little bit better. It's a game about trying to start an advertising company and help different businesses work together by getting a single ad that serves both of them (such as Dinner and a Movie or Travel with some new clothes).

This is my second entry in the 2015 18 Card Contest. This is a card driven solitaire wargame on the Battle of Hastings. 10 of the cards make up the terrain and the units and the other 8 cards serve as events. Those cards are double sided for a total of 16 events. This design is actually coming together pretty nicely and I hope to release components soon.

I've lightly rethemed Evolution with neat monsters on minicards. The smaller format let me choose from a larger array of epic DeviantArt. Plus, the Evolution PNP is available on their website for $10, making it easy to get all the source material and also support the designers.

From gallery of yamaraus

I still need to decide on food tokens, watering hole and species boards. I'm not a fan of cardboard tokens, but the double-sided chits seem like a nice way to cut down on bulk.

Dominic gave me permission to post files, but as the monster art is all under heavy copyright, I've removed the monsters and am posting a "Draw Your Own Evolution" minicard file set. Files waiting for approval, but check the thread for details:

I've done a complete retheme of Mottainai, using California Natural History museums and exhibits. I wanted a bit of tangential learning in the game. Flavor text might have been nice, but the game has so much info to convey, that it was already quite busy.

Ok, I've put up a file using art from different persons here on BGG and also made the 0 for Parade with the Bogeyman Re-theme.

With this deck you can play 4 games that I will put up next. I also compiled the rules for the 4 games and translated to Portuguese.

Here are the cards used for Battle Line:

I've spent over 10 hours making new Command and Dragon Cards for Samurai Battles (Command & Colors) since the ones that came with the game are just awful both in design as in quality.

There are some small errors spotted that I will correct next week but I'm quite pleased with my first take no making the design for cards for the first time.

Here it is a sample of the Cards (Backs for Command and Dragon Decks; Dragon and Command Cards):

Portable, origami Backgammon!

I wanted to create a very compact travel Backgammon game without resorting to exceedingly tiny magnetic pieces. I realized that if pieces could stack, then you could dramatically shrink the board:

However, the origami model that I used for the pieces, a flared square box, could be used for other games. So I increased the scope of this project to create ...

... portable origami Wa Shogi!

(I suppose I could have created Chu Shogi because it uses a 12x12 board, but Wa Shogi can be played with drops.)

It would have been so much easier to create standard, flat shogi pieces; this model took me three months to design and create! One advantage of these origami pieces is that I could put text identifying each piece's English name and starting position on the board:

Board Game: Wa Shogi

Each board segment is folded from one piece of paper.

Next step is to create a hinged cardboard box to contain all the board segments.

Tools and resources used:
Inkscape: https://inkscape.org
Japanese characters: Wikipedia entry for Wa Shogi
Arabic backgrounds for pieces: Craftsmanspace: Oriental Ornaments
Board segments: Daniel Brown's Crease Pattern Guide, Origami Maze Folder, MIT course: Geometric Folding Algorithms: Linkages, Origami, Polyhedra (Fall 2012)

After many attempts at working on The Hogfather board game, I just let the Pigs go. The name Pizzo means the money that the store owners pay the mob for "protection". The gameplay heads a who new direction from hog mob, and feels like a different game now, missing all but the card play elements, but adding much more. I've crafted a few of these with mainly just card stock and card stock gloss for cards (so they shuffle and fan-out). The game still requires a bunch of cubes as chits are kinda fiddly at this amount of moving them. Components-wise, there are about half as many as any version of hogfather/hog mob/hog haven.

I believe I have finished this game except for fine-tuning the patron cards. Each time I print it, it costs 10 dollars for less than perfect cards, so the next time I do, I want everything to be perfect, minus art, but at least the rules will fit the cards.

After Healthy Heart Hospital deserved its own entry, but the publisher would do that entry when it comes out, I changed the print and play to Triage. The game has evolved further away from the soon to be published game, including minor rules from it staple to the game, but done in a different way. This game is now going under plastic surgery to fine tune it, and then I will throw up the print and play again.

Threw together a couple of sets of this game. One to go to Richard Ham for maybe a runtrhough if he has a willingness. [listitem=4189027]Thumbs up[/listitem] for that if anyone wants to help it along to the "maybe" list.

Another I am working on is for Heavy Cardboard guys, but I'm running out of wooden discs

Playing around with filters; looks like a pill or candy tart, or is it me?
