Wargamers - Fair Trade it Forward
Here's how the Wargamers Fair Trade it Forward list works:
Step 1: Post a wargame with a minimum value of $40 that you will send to whoever posts the next item in the geeklist. Simple. So, don't post, unless you are willing to send that item to whoever posts next! N.B. this means the current game cannot be claimed unless and until you post a new game – no calling “dibs,” that’s not good enough to hold your claim.
Step 2: You ship your game when somebody somebody CLAIMS the NEXT game posted. This means nobody receives a game until he or she has posted a game that someone else has deemed worth claiming. (Example: I post Paths of Glory. John Smith claims it by posting No Retreat. I do not ship Paths of Glory until someone claims John Smith’s No Retreat game.)
The game you post must have a minimum value of $40. As a guideline for what a game’s value is, look at what the games are selling for on the BGG marketplace. If the game you are offering can be purchased in the same condition in the BGG marketplace for less than $40, your claim will be deleted.
Sender pays shipping, unless he indicates in his entry that the recipient will, and under what grounds (International shipping, etc). Anyone signing up to receive an item where recipient pays shipping agrees to do so.
Duration of Claim:
In the unlikely event that nobody claims your game within 48 hours of your INITIAL posting, your claim is void and anyone else can post a new claim. Since the game you claimed won’t be shipped to you until you find a claimant, you have incentive to find one. We will use the time stamp of the initial posting and the new claim to determine the 48-hour period. The 48 is NOT extended by revising your claim.
