January Funding level 4.

Debby Scientist: Really helped. She cured the 3 diseases
E Researcher: Was able to give cards to Deb easily
Me Dispatcher: Only helped a couple times by getting them on the same space, so E could give card to Deb

We had 1 Outbreak in Moscow(?). Several cities had 3 cubes.
I built Research Station in Jakarta.
We eradicated Blue Diseases (forgot to name it).

Upon 2nd Epidemic Card, the Black Disease became Coda and then required 2 actions to treat. We never did cure that one, but it was no longer part of the objective.

Success!

Our 2 upgrades were Research Station (Jakarta) and Positive Mutation (Don't have to be at research station) for Blue Disease.

Our win game bonus was at start of February, get to remove 1 cube.

February Funding Level 0

Beginning of month changes:
COda-403b: Black Disease cannot be cured OR treated
New Action: Quarantine token (buffers 1 cube) on city you're at.
Relationships*: co-worker makes it easier to pass cards, family member gives extra action if starting on same city
*Should only put relationship sticker when creating new character (reciprocal relationship sticker must go on already created character).

We got to start in Jakarta, since we had a research station there.
Debby Quarantine: Very helpful at preventing outbreaks because can place 1 Q token in any city on the board
E Researcher: Co-worker status with me helped make getting cures easier
Me Scientist: Cured 2 of the 3. Didn't have to be at a research station to cure Blue (positive mutation upgrade).

We eradicated Red! Forgot to name it.
Had 4 Outbreaks, mainly at top of North America.
Final cure was by Debby getting 4 Yellow cards, and me able to rendezvous and Share Knowledge, then she scurry to Jakarta.

Success!

Our 2 upgrades were Foresight (Peek at 2 Infection cards) for Quarantine Specialist and Positive Mutation (Don't have to be at research station) for Red Disease.

Our win bonus was get to place a Quarantine token at beginning of March.

We finally named the Blue Flu & Red Tide, as well as our created characters.

Beginning of month changes:
Miiitary Bases: New green structures
New Action: Roles with dogtags can fly from one Military Base to another
New Role: Operations Expert can build MB for an action. Also, if at a structure, can discard and fly anywhere
New Objective: Put MB in each of the 6 regions
Note: Should have kept out old Mandatory Ojbective cure 3.

We started in Jakarta, because it had 3 Red Tide cubes.
Debby Researcher: Helped get blue cards to E
E Medic: Cured blue and helped quell blue in Europe
Me Ops Expert: Was working on putting out MBs, but got too busy putting Quarantine markers on untreatable black cubed Eastern European cities.

We were doing okay. E had 4 blue cards, but we were having a tough time getting him the 5th. We took care of potential outbreak dangers in Europe. Finally cured Blue Flu.
But meanwhile Red Tide is taking over Asia. Too many adjacent outbreaks and we run out of cubes.

Failure!

Our 2 upgrades were MB in Istanbul(?) and Medic gets once per turn ability to treat adjacent.

No win bonus because we didn't win.

March Redux Funding Level 2

Beginning of month advantage: Put Quarantine in any city. We chose a city with 3 Red Tide cubes.

We started in Jakarta, because it was close to several Red Tide cubes.
Debby Medic: Very helpful with Red Tide & eradicated Blue Flu
E Medic: Cured all 3
Me Scientist: Passed several cards to E Medic

First order of business was take care of Red Tides. We did it well. After passing E a few cards, I went to Quarantine some of the Black cities. Had 3 Outbreaks, but got Blue Flu & Red Tide cured. Made for a great turn by Deb Medic walking through last 4 cities with Blue Flu to eradicate! Then E cures Yellow and we win!

Success!

Our 2 upgrades were new Research Center in Istanbul(?) and put Blue Flu to 2nd level (Doesn't take an action to cure).

Win Bonus: Put down Green Military Base before starting April

April Funding Level 0

Beginning of month advantage: Put Military Base any city. We chose Lima.

We started in Atlanta, because it was close to several Yellow cubes in South America.
Debby Scientist: She cured Blue Flu & Yellow. Had 4 cards of Red Tide and was prepared to win on her turn.
E Researcher: Passed Deb lots of cards.
Tyler Ops Expert?: Laid down all 6 MB, so completed that objective.
Me Quarantiner: Tried to keep cities under control.

Started with few Red Tide & Blue Flu cubes. One city with 3 Black Cubes which I Quarantined. There were a lot in South America. Our plan was to both give Deb cards for her to cure & keep Yellow under control.
Was going okay. Got to the point where Deb would win on her next turn. Unfortunately E draws 2 Epidemic cards at the end of his turn. The worst part was the 2 Intensify cards were adjacent, which killed us with 8 Outbreaks (we already had 2).

Failure!

Our 2 upgrades were Military Base in Bangkok and character upgrade for Scientist ????? (+1 Hand Limit).

April Redux Funding Level 2
Forecaster: Look at and rearrange top 6 Infection cards.
???: Add 2 Quarantine markers to any 2 cities.

Beginning of month advantage: Put Military Base any city. We chose Kinsasha.

We started in Atlanta, because it was close to a couple of the 3 cube cities on the West coast.

Debby Scientist: She cured all 3.
E Quarantine Specialist: His beginning 3 cards made it clear he should build the other 3 Military bases.
Me Researcher: Passed Deb lots of cards.

Our initial plan was to cure Blue Flu, but took longer than expected to give Deb the cards. We made a mistake putting Deb & me in SF with 3 cubes and of course it outbroke, so now we have scars.
Scientist scar - Discard any card to shuttle.
Researcher - Hand limit reduced.
Decided for Deb to leave me at risk in Taipei and she cured Red Tide. We actually used both funding cards well.
The final turns were dramatic. We were at 7 Outbreaks. I actually thought we had no hope, but if we could last through 6 more infection cards. Lots of cities at 3 cubes. Then E remembered that there was a Chennai card coming, so I spent my turn getting there and Quarantining it. Turned out that saved the day, because it did come up and had 3 Faded on there.

Success!

Game end upgrades were: Added a funded event sticker (remove 1 Faded figure from any city) to a mostly useless black city card, and added Veteran (can use military bases) character upgrade to Researcher.

No Special Event cards added.

Beginning of month advantage: Remove 1 faded figure from any city. There was (luckily) only 1 faded figure out, so we removed him.

We started city?? (mid Europe) because there were two cities with 3 blue cubes.

Debby Quarantine: Should have used her ability more consistently.
E Researcher: Passed cards at just the right times.
Me Ops: Was able to build military base easily, then discard a card to move anywhere.

The first couple of turns went well, but it took a while before we cured Blue Flu. Then Deb was close to Red. Meanwhile, there was a pretty exciting turn where I had to decide between trying to eradicate Red or finishing our 6 Military bases. I went for the bases and it worked out great.
On the final turn, I cured Yellow (with the card E just gave me), flew to the only place Yellow was left and treated there to eradicate, which took care of all 3 of our requirements.

Success!

Game end upgrades were: Added Military Base sticker to Bogota, and added a character upgrade to Ops so he can quarantine adjacent cities.
