I don't know why I chose Lanterns: The Harvest Festival when it wasn't even my favorite of the month. It took a nosedive, among many others of this month. Samurai Gardener got the top spot even though it hasn't seen much play since (and is somewhat replaced by Honshū).
I thought Yokohama was a cool game when I first played the original Japanese edition. TMG made it even better with production changes that go beyond metal coins and wooden bits to layout choices that fundamentally make the game more playable and easier to learn and teach.
