A 20 minute pickup and delivery game
for 2-4 players aged 8 and over.
By Charles Ward from EX1ST GAMES

It’s March and the end of the Japanese fiscal year is here. The school year is ending, employees are being transferred around the country, and goods need delivering. A flurry of activity is taking place in the quiet city of Matsumoto. Drive your delivery truck around, pickup and deliver the most packages, and earn the most money.

It has a lovely mechanic:

Cubes represent packages to be delivered - the supply - the are placed on cards. And the cards represent the demand. The cards show 2-5 coins printed on them. The coins determine how many cubes are placed. The cubes cover the coins. As players pick up cubes (to deliver them elsewhere), coins are revealed. The revealed coins determine the value of the packages accepted at this location. The colour of the background of the card determines the colour/kind of package accepted.

The cards have other effects later on in the game.

In the springtime you may be lucky enough to see the March hares chasing and battling each other in the fields as part of their elaborate contests for dominance. This is a light and quick card game where you do battle with a rival, running, jumping and boxing, trying to force your opponent to run out of options. If you are unable to make a play, you lose!

Components: 36 cards split into 2 mini-decks (please print 2 copies of the PnP cards, ideally either on different colour card or in some other way to distinguish the player decks).

Welcome to Animal Madness. This is for your kids when you are playing the basketball bracket. This a quick competition of games, each under a minute. You can play with many different player counts.

Setup: Choose an even number of players. 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32 players will work best. Each player will select a region from below. You will use the animals to fill out the bracket depending on how many players. The rankings are important for ties. Start with the yongest player. They can choose where to put their animal in the bracket. Placement will go around in a clockwise order or by age. It is best to balance the animals in the brackets. Once all animals are placed you will start the competition. Write rankings if needed. Each section has a small game you play.

Play: Each game reqires you to win 3 games to advance. When you get to the final four you will play 2 games and use prediction as a tie breaker. The final match will consist of all for games plus prediction as a tie breaker.

Dice Roll: Each player rolls a die. Highest number wins.
High Card: Shuffle a deck of playing cards. Players flip a card. High wins.
Arrow Spin:
Spin a ruler with marked end. If it doesn’t point at a player it is a tie.
Rock, Paper Scissors: You know the rules.
Prediction: Guess a card number. Flip a card. Closest to the number wins.

Advanced Play: For every match you win you get the difference between the rankings. The winner is the player with the highest point total.
