You can click the Bricklink link for these, buy the pieces, and start building!

Buying from Bricklink can be confusing! Read the first comment in this thread for help. Feel free to suggest a better guide if you know of one. https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/29nhh2/a_noobs_guide_...

If you'd like to help out, you can make a model with Stud.io and upload it to Bricklink! https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/studio.page

Sorted by rank, so you can find something good to build.

There are several LEGO versions of this out there. This is the most portable, and probably the least expensive. It's also the only one on Bricklink as of now.

You can download a model of it with part numbers or buy it here:
https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/model.page?idModel=729...

And here are Golden Fleece expansion bricks. https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/model.page?idModel=752...

NOT JUST FOR CHESS!

It would work for many abstract games, including Onitama.

This set requires that you have a baseplate to attach the pieces to. It's very simple and obvious. Just choose something to use for pawns! You can reduce the cost by changing the black pieces to light blue grey (or whatever color is cheapest at the time.)
