Rd 3: d. Castles of Mad King Ludwig (245 x 162)
Qter-finals: d. Lost Cities (308 x 179)
Semi-finals: d. Tigris & Euphrates (220 x 187)

Comment: While there were plenty of comments against Pandemic, the silent majority spoke louder and it is the winner of 2017 without breaking a sweat - its smallest lead was 33 votes, in the semi-finals against T&E. Next year it will definitely be in the Majors. Congratulations!

Comment: I must say I expected Trajan to be defeated sooner. To the Isle of Skye, in the first round, even! And it advanced to the championship by the smallest margin possible - winning by seed (which earns 1 vote in case of a tie). I must remember next year that Trajan will come back strong.

Comment: Ah, how I wish T&E was on the other side of the bracket and participated in the championship match against Pandemic - I'm pretty sure things would be closer than it were in the semi-finals. But brackets are mean bastards sometimes. Still, finishing third isn't bad at all, and T&E will be a force in the years to follow.

Comment: Well, I was on Alhambra's side most of the way. I enjoy even "vanilla" Alhambra, though the expansions do bring good additions. See it lose to Trajan by a technicality hurt, as it had the longest run to get here, and faced, head on, some big candidates to the title. Alhambra doing well isn't a novelty, but with the competition getting harder each passing year, is still nice to see it performing as it does.

This year Minors are dedicated to my recently passed away dog: Ayla. She had kidney failure on saturday and stomach problems, and didn't passed through Easter. Though we are incredible sad, we know that she had a pretty good 13 years of life with us.
