Every year nearly 200 maniac cyclists take part in a 3 week, 2000 mile cycle race around France. This contest echos that madness, but with games taking part.

Le Tour de Geek has 15 stages where the 50 best games will compete against each other. Each of the 15 stages represents a different aspect of what makes games great. As in Le Tour the competitors will be judged in a number of different ways and the best in each of these will be rewarded by wearing a coloured jersey in the next stage. After the 15 stages are complete we will know our champions.

The games have been chosen based on their performance in last year's Tour qualifying events (Top 20) and in two qualifying stages.
Similar games (e.g. Dominion/Intrigue, Steam/Age of Steam) have been combined.

Previous Stages:

The current Jersey holders are:

Yellow Jersey, Overall Leader (General Classification), gained by total Number of Votes
Codenames

Green Jersey, Points Classification, Total Points awarded for most 'Wins'. Points vary according to the importance of the stage.
Pandemic/Legacy (combo)

Knizia Jersey, Best All-Rounder, awarded to the game with the best lowest score across stages
Ticket to Ride

Polka Dots, King of the Mountain, Total points in certain stages (highlighted on the map in Orange)
Galaxy Trucker

White Jersey, Best New Game, Most votes for a new (since 2012) game
Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar

Red Jersey, Best Old Game, Most votes for an old (2000 or older) game
Roborally

White on Red, Most Combative (last stage), (guideline=smallest %gap between Wins & Total Votes)
Crokinole

General and Points jerseys stay the same.
Ticket to Ride grabs the Knizia jersey from Agricola.
Tzolk'in's retains the New Game jersey - a jersey that keeps switching owners.
Crokinole's small but powerful performance in Non-Gamer Appeal takes the Combative.

General Classification Vote Count for Stage 10: Non Gamer Appeal

Codenames dominates and in the process picks up an impressive fourth General classification stage win. Dixit retains 2nd from the last tour with Ticket to Ride being pushed to 3rd.
Carcassonne fell badly from last time's 3rd spot. I'm surprised to see Love Letter do so well, beating Can't Stop and For Sale. Hey That's My Fish does a lot worse than I expected - my kids love it!

Points Classification Win Count for Stage 10: Non-Gamer Appeal

Codenames does the double in style, picking up almost a third of all the Win votes. As a result Dixit is pushed to 2nd and TtR to 3rd.

General Classification Vote Count TOTAL to Date

Codenames big win extended its lead to almost 200 points over second-placed Pandemic. Is that Le Tour sewn up already? Dixit, King of Tokyo and Ticket to Ride all did very well, climbing up the rankings as Agricola, Galaxy Trucker, Power Grid and BSG all did poorly.
This stage will be interesting to see whether people think Codenames has Intellectual Challenge compared to the many heavies to choose from.
At the back HTMF blasted up to 3rd from last, Catan does nicely, while Acquire and San Juan seem to be tangling for the wooden spoon now.

Points Classification Win Points TOTAL to Date

No points for any of the previous top 14 games, except Codenames, which jumps from 3rd to Top.
This stage should be a chance for Agricola and Twilight struggle to rake in some points. Will Chess still win with Go in Le Tour? People were talking about this Intellectual face-off numerous times in previous tours.
Crokinole got its first points on the board.

54 Codenames
52 Pandemic/Legacy (combo)
46 Battlestar Galactica
42 Twilight Struggle
41 Galaxy Trucker
34 Cosmic Encounter

Knizia Jersey Top Ten (best all-rounder)

Top Ten games by minimum vote levels:

27 Pandemic/Legacy (combo)
18 Ticket to Ride (series)
15 7 Wonders/Duel (combo)
14 King of Tokyo/New York
14 Lords of Waterdeep
13 Galaxy Trucker
13 Small World
10 Power Grid
10 Roborally
8 Agricola
8 Battlestar Galactica
8 Love Letter
8 Carcassonne (series)
8 Stone Age
8 Alhambra

A brutal stage for Knizia. Agricola, BSG, Tzolk'in, Robinson Crusoe, Galaxy Trucker and Roborally tumble. And there it is, 7 Wonders, slipping into 3rd and back in the running to retain the Knizia for another Tour.
