Games that have names that imply that a game is about something else, are historically inaccurate, or taken from book titles or otherwise not the right name.

Pax Romana is Latin for Roman Peace and was much after the time of this game when Rome's borders were stable, circa 27 BC to 180 AD.

In this game, Rome is just one of 4 powers fighting for control of the Mediterranean between 300 B.C. and 50 B.C. Borders definitely weren't stable and it was a time of war.

Now with a title like this, would you want to play one of the also-rans of Greece, Carthage, or the eponymously named, the East, instead of the titular Romans?

Maybe Struggle for the Mediterranean is too hard to translate into Latin?

I feel your anachronic pain.

Nothing on or in this box was around within 50 million years of the end of the Triassic (never mind of each other!) and that shouldn't bother me as much as it does.

It's a shame as there was some really lovely charismatic/terrifying megafauna around in the Triassic too, that could do with getting some more exposure.

Eh, Big Dinosaurs sell.

Look, it's annoyed me so much i haven't even bothered to gripe about the pronated raptor-hands or the sorry excuse for theropod plumage.

Sword of Rome was the sobriquet of Marcus Claudius Marcellus, a Roman general during the 2nd Punic War.

Since this game takes place 200 years earlier, the nickname is out of place, although perfectly evocative.
