The regular BGA session had a turnout of 4 this week. Godfrey came through from the West with the usual sack load of games. Colin and Swami were the other attendees.

A good session where only two games were played, one 4 player and one 3 only.

I think this was on its second outing in the East.

Players are running a company, collecting resources, fulfilling contracts, blah blah. The theme may be thinnish, but the mechanics are interesting, with movement somewhat reminiscent of Istanbul. As is the norm with these point salad style of games, there are multiple ways to score.

The modular board setup would lead to varied replayability and a "no two games the same" vibe.

Four players seemed to go slightly long but I really enjoyed the game.

A tableau builder with a mean and vicious streak.

Players are building a theme park, buying various rides and upgrades, staff and concession stands.

Event cards that are general, affecting all players (one per round) and played by players to affect their own or an opponents park are played. Objective cards are available, with varying difficulties and scoring opportunities.

In a reversal of the standard in this style of game, upgrade types on the rides can be the same symbol and mean that maxed out rides are preferable.

Swami won with a couple of major attractions, Godfrey played bridesmaid again, and I proved that taking out a loan (or two) might not be a great strategy.

Great artwork. The varied decks of cards make for variety. Decent filler for gamers.
