Agricola, Master of BritainI finished this one last night. It's been in my 'to-build' folder for ages now. It doesn't take long, 2 letter sized (grrr-wish they could have provided both A4 and Letter sizes) sheets and 1 counter sheet.

It looks very smart with easy to read and consistent graphics. Just need to get it played now.

You can buy it from https://hollandspiele.com/products/agricola-master-of-britai...

This is a generic entry for the many, many Roll & Write games ("roll & score" was the closest game Family to roll & write) I'm downloading. This currently includes 38 roll & write games that designers released after the GenCant roll & write contest concluded last week. Here's the link for the page with the games listed and the downloads (64MB zipped, at present).

The winner's entry is still being illustrated by Beth Sobel, so won't be out until 11th August (that's the planned date), all ready for #GenCant to start later this month.

my brother in law bring me this wonderful game, i played the mexican version back in the 80's and when i discovered the 5th edition i now i must own one to play with mouse (my kid Ivan)

now this is not a PNP but a little pimp i did with the standees (that keep falling no matter how you assamble them)

laser cut plus adhesive vynil, the artwork is not mine but from Pathfinder.

so far we have played 2 times, the first one were Mouse, Wife and me, the second only Mouse and me, i tweaked a bit the rules for my kid (the spellbook, as he want to play with red wizard and the gold amount to collect was lowered a bit)

if you are curious, the first game ended with my kid playing a priest and won with about 15,000 gold, wife collect at the end 1500 gold and me about 5500 golds. The second game ended with Mouse collecting 17,000 golds and me with a bit less that 5000 golds.

This is my first time posting here. Hope I get it right.

I saw this game at Origins but didn't have time to play it there. So I put together a PnP to try at home. Only one play so far, but I hope to get another in soon.

The game is still in development and some rules are still changing, but honestly, it's already better than many published games I've seen.

Really looking forward to the finished product!

Completed board. Printed on 11x17 card stock. Taped with hinging tape on the back and folded. Looks decent under plexiglass.

Shares, just after I finished cutting them out

I made these to use instead of just using colored markers. I like being able to read the name of the company.

The various components. Still missing some of the wood pieces at this point.

I got a bunch of these boxes cheap. I thought they would be good for my PnP games. They remind me of a pizza box. Seems somewhat appropriate for this game. Not sure I'm going to be thrilled with them in general, but I have a bunch of them so I will probably continue to use them.

The image I used on the cover was not part of the PnP. I just found it online and liked it. I should probably mention that CHICAGO is not part of the title. The proper name for the game is just CITY OF THE BIG SHOULDERS.

Since I had plenty of room, I added the poem which inspired the title.

Setting up and getting ready to play. This was at Charcon in late July.

Mid way through the game.

This month’s project: a set of 4 modular double-sided tiles to recreate the 3 maps/boards of the twin games König von Siam / The King is Dead.

Also printed a set of player cards of my own design, making them generic so as to be able to use them with each of the three maps.

The pieces are laser-cut MDF decorated with full-sheet labels. Quite happy with the overall minimalist look.

This is my fan redesign of a 2017 Solitaire Contest game. While the game was pulled by the designer, I found it to be one of the more compelling entries and decided to give it a graphical overhaul.

The graphic redesign and the play test version:

9 cards if you print front and back, or 10 cards if you don't (and the last 1 is an optional reference anyway), and only a few (4) pages of rules. You have to add a number of colored cubes, and about 8 d6. Easily possible to print black and white if you don't want to spring for the blue highlights.

The theme, a cross between Tron and Running Man, appeals to me, and initially seems like the mechanics support it well.

2 pages of 9 cards that need their front and back matched. I'll use a sleeve as a sandwich. About 4 pages of rules. I forget at the moment, but probably a few dice and cubes needed. Simple black and white print.

Again, another intriguing theme, simple craft, small package.

There are nice marks within the page for cutting of the cards, unlike Zone Runners where eyesight and nerves are needed for the cut.

I am very pleased to be the graphic designer for Highlands. This is my first official game design and so I wanted to give my build something special. I decided to go with fabric to match the overall thematic nature of the game. I also poured and painted the chess pieces using molds. Overall this was a really enjoyable build full of new techniques for me.

The game itself is very enjoyable. I know I'll get in trouble for saying it, but solo Scythe was just too much bookkeeping for me. It wasn't fun. Mr. Allen has endeavored to create a streamline version of that game, and he has succeeded admirably. There are a multitude of ways to win, but only a few things of which to keep track. If you get the chance, I strongly recommend Highlands

All the things

Sometimes I catch myself staring at them in complete disbelief that I actually started with powder, and ended up with these beauts.

Inspired by Dom22's excellent de-theme (#10 on this list). I've built my own abstracted set.

All the bits fit into that zippered pouch, which serves as a draw bag for setting up the game.
I used wooden hexes that I had leftover from my Drako build last month. Also, from last month's leftovers, I cut some 1.5" square tiles to determine the order for "power struggles". I got the idea to use signal flags as a way to match the square "order" tiles to the hex "map" tiles, and I like the way that looks and plays.
All the gems come from my collection of game bits (that I habitually buy from thrift stores).

I still have one more set of cards to draw.
After getting the 1st 2 sets finished, I played a 2 player game (against myself) even before I had the tiles painted. Once I finished drawing the 3rd deck, I play again with 3 players (still against myself blush) and took the 'in play' shot above. The table cloth helps to keep things from sliding around so much.
A very interesting game, I'm quite enjoying both building and playing it. Maybe tonight I'll be able to talk my wife into playing a game. whistle

How about an eight epics re-theme with Dragon Ball Z? I used art from Dokkan Battle.

I finished my Glory to Rome Black box stuff, I think I'll go through printer studio to get that through. Still holding out for a good re-theme idea.

I was told to post this here. It waa a bit more work than a Print & Play but here it is anyway.

So, Fire of Eidolon was a game on Kickstarter in 2016. It hasn't quite reached it's backers yet but I went ahead and re-themed it. I couldn't help myself, the idea screamed out at me. The original art work reminded me of that from the Red/Blue Pokemon games for Game Boy.

So here it is, possibly the geekiest thing I have ever done.

The Vestibule (starting tile) is now Pallet Town, naturally! The back of all the tiles feature a Pokeball. Iprinted the images on paper and they have been pasted on to grey board (chipboard).

BE GONE boring fantasy heroes! Here are the new heroes. Who needs a Mage when you have an Abra? I changed the powers around a little to try and match the Pokemon better. I also named them appropriately!

What are the player pieces you ask?

Here are the gang. Bulbasaur, Squirtle & Charmander are not so cheap (I'm not made of money) so they are represented by Ivysaur, Blastoise and Charmeleon (who is missing here).

Instead of collecting dark relics and the Fire Of Eidolon you now have to collect Badges from the Gyms before defeating the Elite 4!

Instead of chamber tiles now, you have terrain tiles. Grassland, Lakes and Fire Caves(?) replace dexterity, intellect and strength chambers. Each terrain tile has a Pokemon featured on it that you have to battle to gain experience against that Pokemon type. Here are the tiles laid out like a game situation.

So what is the ritual deck replaced by? Pokemon cards of course! The Pokemon on the terrain tile that I just mentioned, they each have a corresponding card. When you draw that Pokemon place a token on it's tile.

Talking of the ritual deck, who is the force of evil in this game? Team bloody Rocket that's who! (Did you notice them lurking in Pallet Town?) They are trying to catch the Pokemon for themselves causing them to go extinct in the wild! You will be fighting them across the map, once you have gained the experience and badges you must head back to Pallet Town where you defeat Team Rocket and win the game! Here are the new tokens that are placed on the tiles. Red (Fire), Green (Grass), Blue (Water) and Pink (Rocket).

And all of that (minus the figures) fits in this here box.

And there it is! The geekiest thing I have ever done and I am proud of it (My wife for some reason is not proud of it. She thinks I am nerdy for some reason). But I hope YOU like it too. Now... time to fight that pesky Team Rocket!

Not entirely me - printed this one off for my daughter to have a colour in and play during the summer break - keeps her off the computer and away from the TV.

I backed this on KS a couple of years ago, but didn't bother with the metal tokens offered at the last minute - they are very nice but were an expensive add on to an already expensive pledge.

Since then I've always sort of regretted the decision, but still wouldn't go for it at the price they were offered.

I've recently invested in a 3D printer, and after a few goes at printing off other people's designs I am now having a go at my own...

First off some nice printed tokens for this gem of a game.

The design work wasn't as hard as I thought it might be once I found out how to use TinkerCAD. The hardest part was creating the icons/logos for each token type in an art package, and then importing them into the TinkerCAD design.

Another print of v 0.10, and then my fan expansion Ladybug Sinister. It is a Firefly like, pickup and deliver, in space, solo game that is easy to mod. I even include blank cards in LS for that purpose.
