A game the provides a wide variety of choices, scales well up to 5 players and can go higher. Has an immersive experience and the inclusion of Adventuring makes for some very interesting game play.
An overall impressive game. Keeps you interested and makes for many complex decisions. The seasons add to the game player an the player board is full of interesting choices.
This games continues to surprise and excite with each release. It's an exciting worker placement game that takes a wonderful theme of colonizing a new planet and just creating such a fun experience with the dice placement mechanism. This game is always a welcome addition to any of my game nights.
This game is not to be missed. The worker placement mechanism within this game is on point at every stage. The gathering of resources, the purchasing of buildings and cards to help gaining victory points. The limited nature of gathering new workers and constantly being aware of food costs. This game is just wonderful and is not to be missed.
While this game is now out of print, a second edition is on the way that will likely be incorporating the expansion this game spawned. Let it be known, this game is to only be played with the expansion. It's that much of a necessity. This games mechanic of using dice rolls as workers and the combination of the value rolled being used as the location placement is unlike many other worker placements. It's such a clever system and while the addition of the fight one must compete in at the end of each phase can be irritating it adds a consideration that makes your choices important throughout.
