Steve K. and I had a good game of Frostgrave, playing The Keep scenario. We each had newly created wizards and warbands, it was fun trying out the Thaumaturge. Steve was concerned at first that we may not have much conflict, but the four teleporting discs that had treasures on them made for all kinds of crazy and conflict. Steve's wizard was deadly with his Bone Dart spell. I had to make use of Telekinisis and Leap spells to make the best of things as my warband was getting whittled down by precision Bone Dart attacks.
I did manage to secure 4 treasures to Steve's 2. My sole surviving warband member, my wizard, was able to Leap to the roof of the central building, pick up that treasure, survive a couple ranged attacks and then turn invisible to be able to safely walk off the board with it.
Fun game with a lot more combat than I've had in any game so far of the 9 I've played.

I'm glad to have been able to play this game. Thanks Zack for teaching it.
While this is a pick up and delivery game, there is a lot of theme and other mechanics that set this apart from your standard pick up and delivery game. Very cool!

I've been waiting to play this since I discovered it a few weeks ago, and it did NOT disappoint. Depending on the curse you choose it will (most likely) change the starting point on the continent, so I will avoid spoilers as best as I can with this summary. Being Dr. F I decided to dig up the first body we came across to try to bring it back to life, instead I found a vengeful spirit that gave me hypothermia... great. Howard and Red thought it would be a good idea to give a blood offering at a shrine... they started bleeding... L. (they also got XP). With limited options we decided to swim and Doc (military slang for Medic) decided he should ditch the snowshoes he had, the rest of us said we'll probably need those immediately (even though it appeared we were in tropics). Lo and behold we get to the shore and it's a winter wonderland... . Howard found some fruit in some trees just off the shore and ate them. he became ill and Red needed to help him succeed a poop check to get rid of it(yes seriously lol). We decided to pause shortly after that.
This is probably my new favorite game, love the exploring, the mechanics for succeeding skill checks, the absolute randomness of events, and the method for getting "ideas" and items. It's extremely enjoyable.

I've been wanting to try this game, being a big Zelda fan, of which this game obviously draws inspiration from.
Now, while it doesn't quite feel like a questing/story game ala Runebound, I found it to be a very cleverly designed puzzle/push your luck game with some really nice item-equippable-meeples, and great components filled with useful reference icons and colorful art. The gameplay itself has a spatial planning element for one half, and a push your luck element for the other. It's like Hey That's My Fish had a baby with Can't Stop.
There's a good sense of character progression. Your character feels like it cannot accomplish many tasks in the first round, but by round 5 you feel as if you can accomplish your goals much more easily. You can push your luck further, and the spatial planning becomes more important as your ultimate goals are narrowed down.
I dig it. It took a bit longer to play than some of the other Tiny Epic games, but since it's only 5 rounds it didn't overstay it's welcome. I'd totally play this again. It hits a sweet spot giving me a small puzzle, and a casual dice fest in a nice looking, portable package.

Grant Joe Rick NotSureOfName Edit: Johnathan C Bruce - Ghost
Everybody won this one. Bruce dished out some good clues and the guessing went really smoothly with a small hiccup or two here or there. (Murder weapon was ink??? Really? Ink? It's poison! ;D) We all got to view 3 clue cards at the end also, and one of those in particular made the culprit super obvious. Fun playthrough though.
