If you're like me, I don't audit the components of every Kickstarter that arrives in the mail, nor do I keep up with every project update and email. With a backlog of games in shrink it could be months or even a year before I discover game component issues that have solutions from the publisher.

This Geeklist is intended to be a list of games with known component issues with solutions available from the publisher. It should help people, like me, to prioritize which games need to be opened and audited immediately, what problems to look for, and how to resolve those problems.

Anyone hunting down a copy of this grail game should be aware that there was a problem with card sorting early in the print run resulting in some games shipping with 23 cards missing + 23 cards duplicated. The publisher supplied replacement cards while the game was in print. When the game went out of print there was an active trading community on BGG made possible because the sorting error was not random, for every game shipped with duplicate card set A, there was another game that had duplicate card set B making even trades simple. These days, if you find a copy I'd make sure the game has a complete set of cards from the start, finding a trading partner this many years after printing will probably be challenging.

Kickstarter CoM: The Expansions: Wooden Upgrade Kit (add-on): In some copies the stickers for coins, blame, and round marker shipped with a white background rather than clear. Clear stickers were sent separately from the publisher by mail. If you got the stickers in the mail, they arrived in a plain, white envelope with no return address and no note inside the envelope explaining what they are. The canceled postmark will be St. Louis.

Kickstarter CoM: The Expansions: two round markers shipped in bag outside box.

Kickstarter CoM: The Expansions: extra player boards shipped in bag outside box

Kickstarter CoM: The Expansions: reported problems with count and color distribution of meeples, a full audit recommended.

Mercury Games has decided to ship the game with 85 container components (17 of each color) rather than the 100 that came in the first edition of the game. Kevin Nesbitt of Mercury Games has stood by his development decision of pairing the number of components down to 85; he says it improves upon the game despite the protests of a group of Container fans.

After some consideration, Mercury has agreed to offer a pack of 15 extra containers as an add-on to the KS campaign, but only to customers who back the campaign, or pre-ordered it from their website. If any copies do hit the retail shelves, don't expect them to come with the full allotment of containers.

If you do got a copy with 85 containers and wish to play the full game, you will need to proxy them in some way; Mercury is suggesting placing some containers on their end to signify two containers.

The first printing of Forbidden Alchemy was notoriously riddled with errors on cards, rules, and most importantly to those upgrading to Mansions of Madness: 2nd Edition, the floor tiles were printed incorrectly making certain floor plans impossible to build.

FFG provided a free package of replacement components to owners of the first printing. Components from the "Revised Printing" (indicated on box and rules) have been corrected. Historical detail here: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2011/12/30/furthe...

Cards for core game had a printing issue wherein 24 cards were printed with a dice symbol that nearly matches the background color of the card. Cards are being sent separately to all but US backers who will receive their corrected cards with the game. The delay is only a couple weeks and if you don't wish to wait, corrected prints have been made available through PnP.

Some of the cards were missing or duplicated. For example, card dividers labeled 1-5 may have had 1, 1, 3, 4, and 5, instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
