With all the fun Geeklists coming out at this time of the year it creates demand/cravings for new games. I'm curious what games you crave this 2017 holiday season? This list could help the community narrow down their choices even perhaps inspire trades instead of purchases (see last link on pathological buying)?

Some lists to inspire you:

Feel free to send me other lists you feel should be in the heading.

And if you want to resist buying new stuff and perhaps consider TRADES check out this post that puts pathological consumption into perspective:

I wanted to be a Mark Herman fan for a long time because I appreciate all the thought that goes into his creations but his games, for me, tend to be too long, too complicated and not easily playable solo.

However, this game popped on my radar screen thanks to one of the geeklists mentioned in the header so I am intrigued! Great theme, playable solo! Check.

This is a game about simulating leading an infantry company in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. The terrain is represented by cards and there is amazing fog of war as a result.

I used to own the first edition but the rule book was too obtuse. I heard the second edition is much clearer and the solo community is raving about it as it made the top 100 solo games for 2017.

So I may be interested in trying out this new edition...

I've always been interested in Roman themed games and I heard many great things about this release. I even think that it may be out of print at GMT.

As I play mostly solo, I kind of stayed away from it because I read that the optimal player count is 4. However, it seems like it is playable solo and I just read that the designer is supposedly working on an AI!

So, that's why Time of Crisis is making it on this list.

What do you all think of this game?
