Have there ever been a game that redeemed itself in your eyes whether through a 2nd play with a different game group or it added an expansion that changed the complexion of the game? Maybe they changed the art or design? Or something else?

So what game is it for you and why?

In your eyes, what game has been

For me it was Tzolk'in
I think it may have been the game group I played with at the local game store. There was so much frustration and fuss over the gear wheel, people AP'ing over trying to calculate the different gears movements, and I did not feel enamored with the games design. I walked away from the game feeling frustrated not wanting to play the game again.
I was coerced into giving the game a 2nd go months later with a different group of people. Feeling more relaxed, I actually enjoyed the challenge of understanding how build my engine with the gear wheel and had a much better gaming experience. It is now a game I want to pull out on game nights!
