Parent Figure: When attempting or assisting a Task, and two or more other characters are involved in the Task, the first Complication generated on the Task may be ignored.
Cultural Flexibility: When you attempt a Task to learn about an unfamiliar culture, or to act in an appropriate manner when interacting with members of such a culture, you reduce the Difficulty by 1.
Advisor- Whenever you assist another character using the Command Discipline, the character being assisted may re-roll one d20.
Veteran: Whenever the character spends a point of Determination, roll 1 Challenge Die. If an Effect is rolled, immediately regain that spent point of Determination.
Commanding Officer: The commanding officer may spend a point of Determination to grant any other character they can communicate with one point of Determination; this does not have to be linked to a Value.
Second-in-Command (Executive Officer): Commander Koraak
Nerve Pinch: The nerve pinch counts as a melee weapon with 1 , Size 1H, and the Intense and Non-lethal qualities. You may use Science or Medicine instead of Security when attempting a nerve pinch Attack, and may increase damage by your Science or Medicine Discipline instead of Security.
Defuse the Tension: Whenever you attempt a Task to persuade someone not to resort to violence, you may add a bonus d20 to your dice pool.
Computer Expertise: Whenever you attempt a Task that involves the programming or study of a computer system, you may add a bonus d20 to your pool.
Advisor: Whenever you assist another character using the Command Discipline, the character being assisted may re-roll one d20.
Executive Officer: When another character in communication with the executive officer spends a point of Determination, the executive officer may spend 3 Momentum (Immediate) to let that character regain the spent point of Determination.
Operations (Internal Systems, Comm, Sensors): Lt. Commander Karowan Jynka
Spirit of Discovery: You may spend one Determination to add three points to the group Momentum pool.
Jury-rig: Whenever you attempt an Engineering Task to perform repairs, you may reduce the Difficulty by two, to a minimum of 0. If you do this, however, then the repairs are only temporary and will last only a single scene, plus one additional scene per Momentum spent (Repeatable) before they fail again. Jury-rigged repairs can only be applied once, and the Difficulty to repair a device that has been Jury-rigged increases by 1.
In the Nick of Time: Whenever you succeed at an Engineering or Science Task as part of an Extended Task, you score 1 additional Work for every Effect rolled.
Technical Expertise: Whenever you attempt a Task assisted by the ship’s Computers or Sensors, you may re-roll one d20 (which may be the ship’s die).
Operations Manager: When the operations manager succeeds at a Task assisted by the ship’s Computers or Sensors, or using a tricorder, the character generates one bonus Momentum, which may only be used on the Obtain Information Momentum Spend.
Engineering (Engines, Propulsion, Fabrication): Lt. Commander Trar jav Pravom
Cautious (Engineering): If spend Momentum to buy d20s for Engineering task, may reroll one d20
Incisive scrutiny: When succeed at a Task using Control or Insight, gain one bonus Momentum, only useable to “Obtain Information”.
Intense scrutiny: When succeed at a Task using Reason or Control in an Extended Task, ignore up to two Resistance for every Effect rolled.
In the Nick of Time: 1 extra Work scored per "Effect" rolled on Extended Tasks related to Engineering/Science.
Chief Engineer: When aboard the ship, always has the Advantage “Engineering Department”, the ship’s complement of engineers and technicians.
Tactical (Tactical Systems, Security Oversight): Lieutenant Ratan Kovim
Orb Experience: You have one additional Value, reflecting the insights you received from the experience. The first time this Value is Challenged, roll 1 Challenge Die; if an Effect is rolled, then some foretold element of the Orb Experience has come to pass, and the Value is not crossed out as it would normally be.
Mean Right Hook: Your Unarmed Strike Attack has the Vicious 1 Damage Effect.
Quick to Action: During the first round of any combat, you and your allies may ignore the normal cost to Retain the Initiative.
Close Protection: When you make a successful Attack, you may spend one Momentum to protect a single ally within Close range. The next Attack against that ally before the start of your next turn increases in Difficulty by 1.
Chief of Security: When aboard the ship, the chief of security always has the Advantage “Security Detachment”, which represents the ship’s security personnel.
Conn (Helm, Navigation): Lt. Commander Lidsa Tanan
Former Initiate: When you attempt a Task using Control or Reason, and spend Determination to buy a bonus d20 for that Task, you may re-roll your dice pool.
Bold (Conn): Whenever you attempt a Task with the Conn discipline and you buy one or more d20s by adding to Threat, you may re-roll a single d20
Precise Evasion: Whenever you succeed at the Evasive Action Task, you may spend two Momentum. If you do, the ship does not suffer the increased Difficulty for attacks normally caused by Evasive Action.
Push the Limits: When you attempt a Conn Task that has increased in Difficulty due to environmental conditions or damage to the engines, reduce the Difficulty by 1, to a minimum of 1.
Flight Controller: When the flight controller is required to analyze or repair technology related to flight or propulsion, they may use the Conn Discipline instead of Engineering.
Medical (Medical, Counselling): Lieutenant (JG) Marcus James
Telepath: You can sense the surface thoughts and emotions of most living beings nearby, and can communicate telepathically with other empaths and telepaths, as well as those with whom you are extremely familiar.
Field Medicine: When attempting a Medicine Task, ignore any increase in Difficulty for working without the proper tools or equipment.
Quick Study: When attempting a Task involving an unfamiliar medical procedure, or to treat an unfamiliar species, ignore any Difficulty increase from unfamiliarity.
Untapped Potential: Whenever the character succeeds at a Task for which they bought one or more additional dice with either Momentum or Threat, they may roll 1 Challenge Die. The character receives bonus Momentum equal to the roll of the die (1, 2, 0, 0, 1+effect, 1+effect), and adds one point to Threat if an Effect is rolled.
Medical Officer: When aboard the ship, always has the Advantage “Medical Department”, the ship’s medical personnel.
