My request. Somehow I wound up teaching. First time for that, hope I did okay. We we're playing our hybrid "Corporate Era with Standard Game +1 production and Drafting" variant. My corporation were the Eco Tree huggers with increased plant production and cheaper tree planting. I leaned into it and tried to plant as many trees as possible. Almost forgot I needed cities to plant those trees around for points. Seemed like everyone else went "nice trees" and placed cities next to my stuff.
I managed to snag the 3 trees milestone. Krista was close with 2 trees at the time. I also got the landlord achievement, but I was the 3rd to pay for one so it was kind of expensive.
Most of my cards had the leaf tag. I played a card the first round that let me add a cube to the card any time I played a plant or animal tag. I managed to do that 8 times for 4 points. I also had a livestock card for 3 points. I got super lucky on the last turn and played the special nocturne city card (already next to 2-3 trees) and then surrounded it with more trees. I think I ended the game with 15 tiles on the board: 3 cities, 2 special tiles, and the rest trees which made the bulk of my score.
Krista had the 2nd most tiles on the board. I think her company gave benefits whenever a city was built. Adam and Corinna had the fewest tiles and spent most of the first half of the game saying things like "maybe we should get on the board?" Adam had a huge energy and heat production and did most of the temperature increases it seemed. Anna went action heavy since she got a lot of credit refunds whenever she played one. She also had a lot of germs. I forget what Corinna was doing. I only remember her spending energy production almost as fast as she was increasing it. Seemed like it would bounce back and forth from 0-3.

I was start player. Dave 2nd. Denise 3rd. Standard opening of me sailing to the gold and colonizing one. Dave sailing to sugar. I told Denise about a strat I read on BGG and she followed it. Going worker first, then using the navegador tile to sail her ships to sugar and buy 2 colonies. She then accused me of setting her up. After the fact, I noticed Dave has 1 sugar and Denise 2, so I should prolly buy some sugar factories which paid off pretty well.
Dave focused on getting privileges early, going down to 2 workers multiple times. Denise was following Dave's advice of "Don't let Todd get all the churches!" She was able to get to 5 workers first and bought the first 2 churches. I didn't want Denise to get all the churches either so I challenged her there. We ended with 4 for me, 5 for her, and Dave only had his starting 1.
Dave did most of the exploring, mostly through using the Nav tile + shipping action to reach new spaces. Twice though, I was able to immediately use the Nav tile and a colony action to snag the cheap colony he just revealed. I remember getting the 50 gold with the next being 110. I think both times Dave gave up on colonizing and grabbed a privilege instead. Somehow I ended the game with all 10 gold colonies (+1 random spice colony, no sugar). Market actions got a little ridiculous for me. I think my last market action got 960 bucks, 600 from colonies and the rest from factories (4 sugars and 2 spice).
With Denise going after churches, I tried to shift focus to shipyards. I ended the game with 4 of them, but not sure I really used them well. I did managed to trigger the end game by reaching Nagasaki.
I had maxed out colony privileges with 11 colonies, 6 factories, 3 explorer tokens, 4 shipyards and 4 churches with +1 privilege I think.
Dave had 6 explorer tokens with max privilege. Only 1 church and shipyard. A handful of colonies, mostly spice.
Denise had 3 explorer tokens, 5 churches, and I forget the rest.

I think there were some rules errors like discarding all revealed cards in a failed attempt (instead of only one) and using a modifier card to pick up another modifier card (apparently a no-no).
I had a unicorn that gave +1 to everything and another card that gave +2 to stabby attacks. Anytime there was a weak 1 pt monster, I would play a random card and guarantee a 4pt stab. Got a lot of points that way and won tie breaker by having the most monster cards. I think Dave got one dragon and Denise the other.
