I'm the weirdo who purchased overtext solely for the purpose of stating that Kaffedrake's overtext makes me feel melancholy.

Overtext is really cool. The best 100 GG I've ever spent.

Well. I'm actually bored with overtext. Why did I give all that GG away?

For the purpose of this giveaway, "new user" refers to any user who registered their account in 2018.

If you are a new user, you may post a geekitem in this list. Look for the button for adding an item at the bottom of this introduction. Select a favorite game or any available item.

In the text box of your item, write which microbadge you would like to receive and what makes it special. Write using the format [microbadge=xxxxx] where the x's represent the 1 to 5 digit microbadge identification number. To get the ID number, hover over the microbadge and read the link if your browser displays hypertext addresses, or click a desired microbadge to be taken to its web page and read the number from the browser's url line.

Feel free to ask for assistance if needed, although I won't be in front of the computer much this weekend!

Happy Easter and Happy Gaming! Thank you, Jens!

I'm hoping to collect microbadges that represents the countries that I have visited AND played board games.

mb I'm a Korean. I was born in Korea and stayed there until I went to university. Looking back Korea is actually a very board game loving country. There are lots of fun traditional board games and card games the entire family can enjoy. I am still dreaming to go back to Korea to stay permanently with my parents and old childhood friends.

mb I visted Dusseldorf Germany in 1996. I cannot believe more than 20 years passed by already. I promised myself I will visit there again but that hasn't honored yet. It was a beautiful snowy winter and joined a Korean christian community camp where all the Korean immigrant kids gather up and have some fun. I learned how to play Uno.

mb I went to Sydney Australia to attend a language school for 6 months. It was meant to be a relaxing and experiencing temporary visit. But then during the 6 months something unimaginable occurred - instead of enjoying the time at opera house and botanic garden, I committed to learn how to read, listen, write and speak the language. I studied literally whole day, 6 AM to 9 PM, 7 days a week for 6 months. After 6 months I was expected to go back to Korea but I was accepted by one of the best university there. I ended up staying in Sydney over 8 years. Near the end of my journey in Sydney Australia, I got married. I met her in Korea and she had an opportunity to live in Sydney for about a year which was very nice. To entertain my wife, I had to quit all my computer games but instead we both deep dived into board gaming.

mb Another twist in my life was immigrating to US which I never considered in my life. When we started packing up and nearing the end of the journey in Sydney Australia, I had a chance to take an interview with a large IT company in US. My expectation was near zero. I only took it because I was just curious to see what it is like to take an interview with a megacorporation. I got hired. We moved to Bellevue Washington in 2012. Board gaming is everywhere here. At work, I see many people run a board game session during lunch time almost everyday. I have collected over 100 board games and so many good memories playing these great games with many friends. By the way, one of my colleauge has over 700 board games.

mb Vancouver Canada is like neighbor to Bellevue Washington. It's just 3 hours driving away. Me and my colleagues visited Whistler for skiing and of course we played board games during evenings.

After having visited 5 different countries and reflecting those fun moments, I clearly see now that whenever I have a chance to play a board game with someone, I must enjoy it as much as I can because after many years later I know I will miss that laugh, that brain tension, that fun and most importantly that part of my life.

These days, my 2 years old son is my main board game partner. I hope I can share the joy of board gaming with him as much as we can before he starts his own journey like mine.

Happy Easter Weekend everyone. Time to hunt down some eggs now. =)

I have started playing Board Games regularly just this year: a lucky combination of a willing friend, a great ludo-bar next to my place, and some free time, and an old passion finally relived. After years of role-playing, I could finally go back to the old materic fun of cards and dice and boards and meeples.

In this New Wave of boardgames for me, my girlfriend was so loving that she made me a great birthday present with a copy of Legends of Andor. This beautifully illustrated fantasy game, complex and welcoming, deep and engaging, was the most surprising loving act from my fiancée. A symbol of my new passion and of the people willing to share it.

This is why the MB for the Legends of Andor would be the most meaningful in my collection.
