Scythe Metal Mechs Special Edition Charity Auction
-
AUCTION CLOSED: The sum of the winning bids is a spectacular $5,325! With the various money matches provided by Stonemaier Games and Fulfillrite, as well as the 5% of Stonemaier webstore proceeds during the auction, that brings the total charitable gift to $15,400!
From 2013-2017, we raised a total of $25,534 for 42 different charities selected by some of our favorite bloggers, podcasters, and video creators. We're back this year to auction off special edition, signed copies of our brand-new metal mechs for Scythe.
Fulfillrite, a Kickstarter fulfillment service, has generously offered to match the highest winning bid among the auctions (up to $2,000) to double that charitable contribution. In addition, Stonemaier Games will match the winning bid for each of the other auctions (up to $500 each).
This year you can also participate in the charity auction without bidding. Just place a purchase on the Stonemaier Games webstore while the auction is live, and we'll add 5% of all proceeds to our total donation to these charities. For Kickstarter creators, if you sign up to use Fulfillrite during the charity auction, Fulfillrite will do one of the following (your choice): credit the creator $100 or donate $100 to their favorite charity in this auction.
Here's how it works:
This Geeklist features 10 separate auctions. Each auction is attributed to an amazing blog, podcast, or video channel and their charity of choice.
The auctions will begin on Wednesday, October 31 and will end on Saturday, November 3 at 11:00 am CDT. Payments will be submitted to us through the BGG marketplace (PayPal) after the auctions close, and the games will be shipped within a few days.
--Bidding starts at $1. Bids must increase in increments of at least $1 USD. You may not be the highest bidder on more than 1 auction. To discourage final-hour sniping, in the final hour of the auction, bids must increase in increments of at least $25.
--Each auction will have 1 winner. Thus there will be 10 winners.
--The order of the boxes (numbers 1-40) will be determined by the amount of the winning bids (tiebreaker is auction order. Thus, the person with the highest winning bid will receive boxes 1-4.
--The content creator whose auction garners the most thumbs will receive a metal mech boxed set too. So you can support your favorite media creator(s) without even bidding!
--200% of all winning bids (minus BGG processing fees) will go to the charities selected by these media creators thanks to the matching gifts.
The winning bidder of each auction will receive (in mid-November):
--4 sets of Scythe metal mechs signed by designer Jamey Stegmaier
--These special edition sets are individually number from 1-40
--1 pack of silicon base snaps (4 snaps per faction in their color)
--Free shipping anywhere in the world from St. Louis
Winning bidders will have 3 days to pay; after that we'll revert to the second-highest bidder.
Thank you for supporting these amazing charities and talented content creators!
