I am a huge fan of thematic eurogames with an accent on story and economical development. As I am playing different games, testing which ones I like and which I don't and which ones have better mechanics or story, I made this list to track my prefences and the best ones that I've found for me. Feel free to comment with feedback or suggestions

Played this a couple of times, and it was great. First play went kinda slow but once we got though a play of the game, next ones went more smoothly

This one is a more recent addition to my collection. I like the personalities cards and how you can build a strategy around them. Some gods are better than others in the final scoring but again, if you plan around them and consider the possible outcomes it makes for a great game. I mostly play this in 2 and 3 player count. 2 players works better in my opinion

Another favourite here. This one I've played mostly in 2, works great! One of the 2 Lacerda games that I've put on this list and own

This game is one of my all time favorites. The rules are so seemingly simple but the strategy is sooo complex. And I love the bonkers dominance cards which in my opinion do no throw off the games but make it more challenging as you can prepare for them in advance.

The other Lacerda game I have in my collection which I enjoy very much. I like it even better than CO2 cause the theme is more interesting to me - the whole dealing in the art world. I mostly enjoy the complexity and the uniqueness of this theme

Out of Uwe's creations this is my favorite. I did not really enjoy Feast for Odin or it's test implementation Patchwork. But this one is really good. A lot of options, complexity, competitive gameplay and replayability

This one I've actually tested a couple of times, as it's not out yet and I played the prototype. The game is mostly excellent, some mechanics still have to be streamlined and maybe a couple of the small rules eliminated to make the gameplay more straightforward. Otherwise it's a really good game and can't wait for the KS launch

When I fancy a short, light competitive euro I bust out an Istanbul with random placement of the buildings in the bazaar. Some combinations are so wacky cause the make for very winding routes to deliver the goods. But it's always fun

Yet another Spiel acquisition that I've been wanting to get. The game does not disappoint, as with any of the other Lacerda games I have. The complexity really lures me in, although at first it might seem overwhelming. And I got it autographed by Vital

And yet another Spiel acquisition. I confess I didn't know this one but when I stopped at Osprey's stand to get 'High Society' saw this on display and was intrigued by the similarly premise with Lisboa. Of course it turned out to be a completely different game, much simpler. But I've played it three times up until now, in 2 and 3 players and it's really nice. Poverty is a bummer and it kinda makes you hate the poor, but it's all fun and there are a lot of interesting ways to play the cards. I like the artwork very much and the complexity which can arise from it's relative simplicity (being just 2 decks of cards and some coins basically).

An easy one here. I kinda like that it's so easy and light and love the theme of D&D. I also love the questing, it's very adventure like. The only thing that bugs me a little is that the resources are in fact persons and this objectifying can be bothering. But otherwise a great light introductory game. I play this a couple of times a month just to chill out a little

Own and played this along with the expansion. While I really enjoy this we play it by limiting the glory points from the gold in the chest option. We make it so that 50 gold in the stash gives 3 glory points so there is more focus on the rumors and piratey stuff. And it plays really well like this as this balances the game between the merchant and pirate personalities. Otherwise I feel that it's definitely easier for the merchant to acquire the gold and stash it, while the pirate keeps fighting and upgrading his ship.

Finally got this one at Spiel, in an old German edition from Kosmos
I've been pining for this game for more than half a year and I'm so glad that now that I've got to play it, it didn't dissappoint!

One of the first worker placement games I bought in my collection. Enjoy it very much to this day. The best thing for me is the wheel mechanism which I found to be unique to this game. Planning ahead and competition wins the game.
