I will use this geeklist to keep track of games played in 2019, along with making comments, posting gameplay reports and pics, etc. I will be including board games, RPGs, video games, and also jigsaw puzzles (all completed jigsaw puzzles with pics in one entry for this year) in this list.

Every time I complete a play, I will add a to the top of the game entry on this geeklist. Also, I am listing each play of a particular game with a number, counting up: d10-1, d10-2, d10-3, and so on. Neither the stars or the numerals denote any rating or judgment of the game.

NOTE: The first entry is for jigsaw puzzles completed (including those done on apps), listed by the month in which they were built.
The following entries will be for boardgames and pencil and paper RPGs, in alphabetical order.
Then I will list entries for video/computer games played, in alphabetical order by the game title (some games have no VGG entry, so check the bold text for the game title.

Note that the listed piece count may not be accurate because what is printed on the box is often rounded off to the nearest 50 or 100.

JANUARY:

d10-1 1911 Maxwell - Tuco Round Puzzle (550+ pieces)

I got this puzzle at a local thrift shop in the autumn of 2017, but just recently built it as my first puzzle of 2019. I was sure that there would be pieces missing, but it is complete! Although it was a rather difficult puzzle to build, I enjoyed it quite a lot, and it never got frustrating. It was tricky at first, though, because the part of the puzzle image in the outer couple of rings of pieces wasn't shown on the box cover image.

The title refers to the make and year of the automobile in the illustration by John Berkey. I don't know when this puzzle was made, but I suspect it was sometime from the 1950s through the early 1980s because of the piece shapes (the earlier Tuco puzzles were not interlocking).

From gallery of Jude

d10-2 What's the Password? - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

This puzzle was a bit trickier than I expected, and I had some of the edge pieces in the wrong place at first. Other than that, it was a fun puzzle. This photo is a bit dark because I was trying to avoid glare.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3 Delta Queen - F.X. Schmid Prestige Puzzle (805 pieces)

I got this puzzle as a souvenir when I took a round-trip voyage on the Delta Queen steam paddlewheeler on the Mississippi River from New Orleans in November 1993. It was a beautiful old boat, and I had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the Delta Queen is no longer permitted to carry passengers because it's not considered up to modern standards. More bittersweet memories occurred when I found some cat hairs in the box from a wonderful cat I had then who used to love to sit in boxes.

I didn't remember the puzzle being this difficult to build! The blues of the sky and the black smoke area were frustrating, and especially so because of the standard grid cut and the lack of variety in the piece shapes. I did enjoy building the lower half of the puzzle, though.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4 Looney Tunes - picnic - Whitman - Warner Bros 1977 (104 pieces)

Because of how difficult the previous puzzle was for me, I decided to rebuild this simple puzzle next.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5 The Local Five and Dime - LaRose Cra-Z-Art (500 pieces)

This was a fun puzzle to build, colorful with a lot of details, but easier than I expected it to be.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6 Native American Quilt - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

There were a lot of subtle color changes and blending which, along with the strange cut, made this puzzle an interesting build. One of the things I like about puzzles like this, is that they make me notice the colors in detail. For example, the large "white" horse in the center, is a mixture of colors, including green and purple (and no white). I tried to get a better photo without glare and where the colors showed up brighter, but this is the best I could do.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7 Original 3D Crystal Puzzle (Shark) - Bepuzzled 2015 (37 pieces)

I got this puzzle at the thrift store. It was NOT relaxing (I build puzzles to relax) and it only had fewer than 40 pieces! It came apart on me twice when I was almost finished (and other times, when I had less built, too).

From gallery of Jude

From gallery of Jude

d10-8 Delaying the Iron Horse - Sunsout (550 pieces)

This puzzle was rather difficult, especially the rocks, ground, and buffalo.

From gallery of Jude

FEBRUARY:

d10-9 Spring Special Delivery - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

I was trying to decide what to build next, and then I remembered that I have a puzzle with a groundhog in the image, which is absolutely appropriate for February 2nd.

I've built this puzzle before. It is one of my favorites.

From gallery of Jude

I can't confirm whether this is actually a picture of Punxsutawney Phil...

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-0 Classics Illustrated Junior Vintage Comic Book Covers collage - Atlantis (500 pieces)

It was somewhat easier than I expected it to be.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-1 For Love - Fantasy Glow - E&L/Papercity Puzzles (500 pieces)

This puzzle has a weird image: It appears that the couple is reenacting a story from the book, but the images "in the book" are somewhat different (the knight has blond, straight hair and appears to be younger, and the dragon has green eyes, for example). Since the title of the puzzle is "For Love" and the book seems to have been drawn into their fantasy, I choose to interpret it as the couple is imagining themselves into the story.

I enjoyed building this puzzle. And the glow-in-the-dark aspect was pretty cool, too, although I couldn't get a good picture of it.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-2 Heart of the Garden - shaped - Sunsout (200 pieces)

Colorful and outlined like a stained glass window, pretty, and with interesting piece cuts, this shaped puzzle was quite enjoyable to build. The box didn't note anything about the four special heart-shaped whimsy pieces, so that was a nice surprise. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-3 Garden Treasures - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

The border made it easier to sort out the edge pieces (usually a very tricky process with a Bits and Pieces brand puzzle because of the unusual piece shapes, with some non-edge pieces having flat edges), but building the puzzle was not too easy.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-4 Sewing Sampler - Golden - 1993 Western Publishing (550 pieces)

This puzzle was fun and colorful, and I liked the reflection in the mirror inside the thread case lid, too.

From gallery of Jude

MARCH:

d10-1d10-5 Seaside 8-in-1 - Ceaco 2017 - puzzle #8 only - Aqua City by Ciro Marchetti (1000 pieces)

This is one of the puzzles in a Ceaco multi-pack from 2017. I enjoyed building this puzzle very much over the past few days. (I haven't built the other seven that came in the box, yet.)

The multi-pack listed the artists for the puzzles' images, but not the titles, but I found the name of this image (Aqua City) with the help of a friend (marble911) searching the internet.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-6 Heart of the Home AND Sweethearts - Perfect Picture Puzzle Double (275+ pieces)

Vintage puzzle (my guess is that it's from the 1940s) with two images, only one of which is shown (in monochrome) on the box cover. I like the way the pieces are cut, not just the odd shapes, but that the image was on the "bottom" of the cut so that the cut lines were thin and not indented into the image.

The images are somewhat sappy but I was happy that all the pieces were there for such an old puzzle!

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-7 Fancy Flower Shop - Cobble Hill (275 pieces)

I built this one before (about a year ago) but decided to built it again to decide if I wanted to keep it. It's strange because this puzzle has a lot of good qualities (thick, non-glare, pieces with interesting cuts) and features (colorful image with "depth" and many detailed objects) that make it seem like it would be enjoyable for me to build. And I liked it well enough, but not as much as I thought I would.

My "completed" photo is a bit better this time, with more accurate colors.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-8 Space Exploration - Castorland (600)

This puzzle was fun to build until I only had a couple of large sections of black with stars left, at which point I relied a lot on identifying piece shapes in addition to small star clusters. Still, it was an enjoyable and interesting build and I love the image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-9 Garage Sale - Ceaco (550 pieces)

This puzzle had a lot of cool details, with a variety of colors and textures in the image, and strange things juxtaposed.

I got this puzzle used in a bundle with some others and wasn't very enamored with the image, but it turned out to be a fun puzzle to build. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-0 Day Dreams - Masterpieces (500 pieces)

Strange title, given the image, but enjoyable to look at and build.

From gallery of Jude

APRIL:

d10-2d10-1 Batter Up! - shaped puzzle - Bits and Pieces (750 pieces)

Baseball season has begun! This puzzle was tricky in places, but quite enjoyable to build. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-2 The Sleepover - SunsOut (300 pieces)

This puzzle was pretty tricky and took longer to build than I expected for 300 oversized pieces, but it was pretty good.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-3 Call Of the Sea - Anatolian (260 pieces)

My second time building this Josephine Wall puzzle. I got a somewhat better "completed" photo this time.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-4 Futuristic Spaceship - Castorland (260 pieces)

My second time building this puzzle. I will likely keep it to build yet again because it has a small footprint, and therefore can be built on a TV tray or coffee table.
From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-5 Seaside 8-in-1 - Ceaco - puzzle #3 only - Dolphin Sanctuary Maui by John Enright - reverse image (500 pieces)

This puzzle is part of a Ceaco brand multi-pack box of undersea puzzles. I did an internet search to find the title because the box only listed the artist, but when I found the painting, I discovered that the puzzle is a mirror-image (reversed).

I like "undersea" paintings for puzzles, in general, because of the colors and all the activity in the images, and this one was good.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-6 Spring in Bloom - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

This was fun and pretty. It reminds me somewhat of the Frick Greenhouse I've been to a few times (in Pittsburgh) which often has a cat or two wandering around and trying to gain entrance.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-7 Sunset in Texas - Cardinal (300 pieces)

At first I was surprised how much easier this puzzle was than I expected it to be (especially since all the pieces, except for the edges, were the same shape and could often fit in the wrong place). After I only had mostly woods and field left to build, I changed my mind!

From gallery of Jude

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-8 Polygonal Tiger - Cardinal (300 pieces)

The puzzle was fairly easy (and fun) until I had only the dark grey pieces left. One of the difficulties was that it was very easy to place a piece in the wrong place without the distinctive lines and colors like the rest of the puzzle had.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-9 Vintage Statue Of Liberty (Mini) - Pigment Hue (140 pieces)

This puzzle is only 5x7 inches when completed and the image is from a 1902 postcard of the Statue of Liberty.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-0 Music Clefs - Cardinal (300 pieces)

I enjoyed building this puzzle except that there is a long scuff mark across the 3rd row (and I bought the puzzle new).

EDIT: I contacted someone at the company and she sent me a new, different puzzle (and from one of their brands that is higher quality than this one was, too).

From gallery of Jude

MAY:

d10-3d10-1 DC Comics Justice League of America Pocket Puzzle - Aquarius - (100 pieces)

This is a very small puzzle (about 8 x 6 1/4 inches).

Also, the 1st Saturday of May each year is Free Comic Book Day. More info here: www.freecomicbookday.com

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-2 Realm of the Giants - Ravensburger (200 pieces)

This is my second time building this puzzle (1st time was in September 2017). I took a better photo this time. Still a keeper!

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-3 Dragon Rider - Ravensburger (100 pieces)

This is my second time I built this low piece count puzzle. It was a nice way to relax for a little while without getting trapped into spending hours going "just one more piece..."

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-4 Wild Blue Yonder - NorDevCo (600+ pieces) - completed

This was a rather difficult (at least for me) but fun puzzle to build. I don't know when this puzzle is from, but I would guess that it's at least 25 years old (and likely older). It's complete and in very good condition except for some warping of some of the pieces, but since they fit so well together, it didn't matter much. It may be a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-5 Fairy Forest - LaRose Cra-Z-Art (300 pieces)

This was a fun puzzle that I got at the dollar store. The pieces are thin, but the image is colorful.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-6 Glow in the Dark 4-pack - Ladybugs puzzle only - Masterpieces (100 pieces)

I had already built a stand-alone puzzle with nearly the same image (although the borders were wider in that one, and the colors were brighter) over a year and a half ago, but I gave it away afterwards. So, I was pleased to find this one in a 4-in-1 multi-pack by the same company (Masterpieces).

Although it was fun to build (and of a decent quality, and it glows nicely in the dark) and I will probably keep it, I wish I had kept the older, nicer version.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-7 The Guardian - Glow in the Dark - Ceaco (100 pieces)

It looks pretty cool when glowing in the dark, too, but I couldn't get a decent photo of that.

From gallery of Jude

JUNE:

d10-3d10-8 Diplodocus - Castorland (260 pieces)

Actually three Diplodocuses. Not sure what the carnivore in the foreground is.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-9 Star Wars Puzzle #1 - Star Wars movie - 4-in-1 Multipack Puzzle Collector's Edition - Buffalo (300 pieces)

This poster is for the 20th anniversary "Special Edition" re-release of the original Stars Wars movie from 1977, later also known as: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. (Artwork by Drew Struzan.)

This puzzle was somewhat tricky because of the odd-shaped pieces and the color scheme, and I enjoyed building it. That's two good puzzles from the 4-puzzle multipack, so far.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-0 Mission San Gabriel "Archangel" - See America First - Tichnor Brothers (300+ pieces)

This is one of a series of puzzles called "See America First" that promoted site-seeing in the USA. My best guess is that this vintage puzzle is from the 1930s or early 1940s. The site name and its location is printed on the puzzle, plus there is an informational and historical note included in the box.

I had a lot of fun building this vintage puzzle although there was no cover image, so I didn't know what image I was assembling much of the time. I'm glad that the edge pieces interlocked because it helped keep the puzzle pieces together while I was building.

Unfortunately, there are 2 pieces missing, and serious damage on another piece.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-1 Canoe Lake - Buffalo (300 pieces)

Disappointing. The missing piece is quite noticeable, and I bought it new (and sealed) directly from Buffalo Games. I have contacted them.
EDIT: Buffalo Games sent me a replacement puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-2 Brown's General Store - Buffalo Games (500 pieces)

This was a fun one with many cool details.

From gallery of Jude

JULY:

d10-4d10-3 Atlantis - Dowdle Folk Art (500 pieces)

This puzzle came with a mini-poster with points of interest numbered (with notes on the back). I thought that the image was cool and I liked the blues and the marine animals and ships. But I got tired of building all the orangish buildings after a while.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-4 Three Magi - Glitter puzzle - Masterpieces (500 pieces)

I got this puzzle because I thought it was pretty. I had second thoughts when I opened the box and inner bag, and after taking out all the pieces, there was still about about a tablespoon of glitter in the bottom of the bag!  The fine glitter seems to come off easily (although there is still plenty of it glued to the puzzle pieces) and is all over the surface I built the puzzle on, and I was being really careful not to rub my eyes because it got on my fingers, too.  I'll probably never get it out of the carpet!

But, otherwise, I found it to be a good, enjoyable puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-5 Fairy Valley - Ravensburger (300 pieces)

This was a fun image to build.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-6 Backyard Birds on a Fence - from a 2 in 1 Puzzles pack - Cra-Z-Art/LPF (240 pieces)

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-7 Lanterman's Mill puzzle - from a 2 in 1 Puzzles pack - Cra-Z-Art/LPF (240 pieces)

This puzzle and the previous one came with their pieces mixed together in the same box, so I built them at the same time, starting with the edge pieces. Because of differences in colors and textures of the images, it wasn't difficult to separate them. I enjoyed building the Lanterman's Mill puzzle very much, but the Backyard Birds puzzle was just okay, so I will store the pieces for each puzzle in a separate bag now.

From gallery of Jude

AUGUST:

d10-4d10-8 Spacecraft Drone - Castorland (300 pieces)

This puzzle was a bit trickier than I expected it to be, and I was surprised by how tightly the pieces fit together.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-9 A Rural Setting - Whitman Guild (304 pieces)

This is my second time building this vintage puzzle. It was just as enjoyable this time. I took a better "completed" photo this time. It's a keeper!

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-0 In the Land of the Dinosaurs - Ravensburger (200 pieces)

I built this panoramic (but low piece-count) puzzle a few pieces at a time over a few days instead of in one sitting like I normally do with 200 and under pieces.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-1 Celebration Fireworks - Puzzlebug LPF (500 pieces)

This puzzle was rather difficult, but I enjoyed it. There was a lot of color variety, or I may not have finished it. Not sure that I will ever build it again though, especially since the pieces were small, thin, and only had 2 piece shapes. But the image was clear and quite nice for a dollar store purchase, and worth building once.

From gallery of Jude

SEPTEMBER:

d10-5d10-2 Princess and Unicorn at Twilight - Bits and Pieces (200 pieces)

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-3 Disney Villains 5-in-1 multipack 2018 (#3 Poisoned Apple puzzle only) - Ceaco (300 pieces)

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-4 Exciting Joust - Ravensburger (100 pieces)

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-5 Art Supplies - Cardinal (1000 pieces)

Tricky and rather difficult, but still fun. It took me a few days to complete it.

From gallery of Jude

OCTOBER:

d10-5d10-6 Autumn Glow - Bits and Pieces (300 pieces)

Despite the name of the puzzle, this isn't a glow-in-the-dark puzzle, which is okay. I like the image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-7 Out to Pasture - Sunsout (550 pieces)

This was a fun, tricky puzzle to build, with an image I liked a lot. Unfortunately, there is a small manufacturing flaw along the bottom where a thin line of bare cardboard shows (it is very thin and can't be seen in my photo).

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-8 Harvest Village Pumpkin - shaped puzzle - Bits and Pieces (300 pieces)

This puzzle has at least a dozen cats in it (and I may have missed some) plus some dogs and birds. The artist, Rosiland Solomon, often puts cats in her paintings.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-9 Reaping the Harvest - Whitman Guild 1961 (304 pieces)

The old Whitman 304-piece puzzles are among my favorites. I almost always enjoy building them, no matter what the image is. This particular one was pretty tricky because of all of the hay in the image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-0 Halloween House - White Mountain (1000 pieces)

This is the Halloween puzzle I built for this year.

From gallery of Jude

NOVEMBER:

d10-6d10-1 PUZ 52 - Cartes d'Art (25 pieces in a frame tray)

This puzzle is by a French brand, and is a birthday present I got in the mail a few days ago from my friend, Kathrin (marble911). It came with a card with the same illustration, but she wrote the happy birthday greeting on the back of the pieces (in French).

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-2 Dinosaur Gathering - Educa - (500 pieces)

I've built this puzzle twice, so far. I took a better photo this time.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-3 Timeless Turquoise - Springbok (500 pieces)

This puzzle was pretty difficult at first, but got a lot easier once it was about 75% built because I could then easily use the puzzle shapes to help me place pieces, in addition to color and lines. Unfortunately, since I had really high expectations for how much I would enjoy building this puzzle, I was a bit disappointed although it was a good puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-4 Universal Beauty - White Mountain (300 pieces)

This is a pretty, mish-mash image of animals, plants, planets, stars and other outer-space stuff.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-5 Dragonforge - Cobble Hill (1000 pieces)

I worked on this one for a week, putting in way too many hours that were neither enjoyable nor relaxing (although some of the time was), and this photo shows where I quit. Too bad because I like the image.

From gallery of Jude

DECEMBER:

d10-6d10-6 Looney Tunes - (roller coaster) Junior Guild Round puzzle - Whitman 1977 WB (125 pieces)

This was fun, with a good image and a lot of cool piece shapes. I got it used, and it looks like it's been built quite a few times, but it's still in good condition.
(It made a nice change from my previous puzzle, Dragonforge, which I couldn't even finish, and didn't enjoy most of the time.)

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-7 Baking Bread - Masterpieces (1000 pieces)

This puzzle had an extra piece in the box (but, luckily no missing pieces) which matched part of the image (part of the strawberries on the floor, lower right) but was cut so that it obviously wouldn't fit there. So, someone, somewhere is missing a piece...

The image is kind of sappy but the colors and all the different types of objects and beings in the picture made it interesting, and the puzzle was fun to build, with just the right amount of trickiness and difficulty.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-8 Reading Lesson - Whitman Gold Seal (620 pieces)

I'm guessing that this puzzle is from the 1950s, although the image represents an earlier time period. I enjoyed building it very much. It has a much higher piece count than most other vintage puzzles I have built so far.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-9 Holiday Cheer - Bits and Pieces (1000 pieces)

This is my Christmas puzzle for this year. It's a pretty fun puzzle, colorful with a lot of interesting details, and has a lot of the weird "Bits and Pieces" style of piece cuts.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7d10-0 Making New Friends - Bits and Pieces (300 pieces)

I really like this puzzle, and I have built it before. It is interesting to build with all the branches and shadows (and unusual piece cuts), and amusing. Note the little snowdog.

-- but only because I managed to get the dragon back (which gave me +3 points) shortly before the game ended. Close, exciting game, although it started out slow.

d10-5 Lost to marble911: 58-76
-- I got the same amount of points as the previous game, but she got 20 points more than she did in that game!

d10-6 Won against marble911: 60-53

d10-7 Won against marble911: 74-56

d10-8 Won against dgou: 72-43

d10-9 Won against marble911: 71-33

All games played online on Yucata.de unless noted otherwise. I'm not bothering to keep track of the dates I played except to note here that they were all played in 2019. Most games were played in advanced mode with a random set-up, unless noted otherwise.

d10-1 dgou won, after a huge feast by the monster (which dgou cleverly set up). marble911 also played (and did better than I did!).

d10-2 I won a 3-player game versus marble911 and dgou.

d10-3 I won a 3-player game versus marble911 and dgou. Both marble911 and dgou had already gotten 2 pieces off the board long before, and I was sure I was going to lose. I only won because I got 3 pieces off of the board, all in the last turn, because both of the other players had already gotten all the rest of their pieces eaten by the monster! My last piece was still on the board (uneaten) at the end of the game.

d10-4 I won a 2-player game versus marble911 by getting 3 pieces out while she only had two out.

d10-5 marble911 won this 3-player game and dgou came in second place. I came in last after getting 3 of my pieces eaten!

d10-6 dgou won this 3-player game by getting 3 pieces out (with one still left), and marble911 came in second place with 2 pieces out (but two already eaten by the monster!). I came in last with only 1 piece out (although I had 3 left).

d10-7 I won a 2-player Basic game versus Zaraban by getting 2 pieces out while he only got one out. I ran out of time before I could get a third out, but the game pronounced me the winner, anyway.

d10-8 dgou won this 3-player game by getting 3 pieces out (with one still left), at which time I had only gotten 2 pieces out, and marble911 had only gotten one piece out.

d10-9 Marble911 won (she got 3 pieces out, while I and dgou only got 2 out). I took 2nd place, and dgou took last place after having a good start.

d10-1d10-0 Marble911 won by getting 3 pieces out, while dgou and I only got 2 pieces out each. I came in second, and dgou came in last in this 3 player game.

d10-1d10-1 Pedrator won a 5-player game, followed by Willie_McCoy, ddd356, me, and Rudiratlos42.

d10-1d10-2 Three-player game with marble911 and dgou. I came in second with 2 pieces out, and marble911 won by getting three pieces out.

November 29, 2019
d10-1d10-3 - d10-1d10-5
Three face-to-face plays with Jenny and Doug. We each won one game by getting 3 pieces off the board first.

d10-1d10-6 I won by getting 3 pieces off the board first. Marble911 and dgou got two pieces out each.

d10-1d10-7 Marble911 won by getting 3 pieces off the board. I came in second because I had gotten 2 pieces off the board before dgou had.

December 25, 2019
d10-1d10-8 - d10-2d10-0
Three face-to-face plays with Jenny and Doug. I won the first game by getting 2 pieces off the board first. Doug won the second and third games by getting 3 pieces off of the board.

November 29, 2019

Two 3-player face-to-face games with Jenny and Doug, both of which I forgot to write down the final scores. But I remember who won both of them.
d10-1 Doug won, I came in 2nd place, and Jenny came in last place.
d10-2 Doug won, I came in 2nd place, and Jenny came in last place.

d10-1 I came in second place with 19 points in a 4-player game of Pergamon. Marble911 won with 26 points, and Mamadallama and aniaga both had 14 points.

d10-2 Lost to marble911: 30-38

d10-3 Lost to marble911: 30-39

d10-4 Won versus marble911: 38-27

d10-5 Won versus marble911: 35-22

All games played online on Yucata.de unless noted otherwise. I'm not bothering to keep track of the dates I played except to note here that they were all played in 2019.

d10-1 Lost to dgou who was in last place, but scored 15 points in the last turn to bypass my lead (and also marble911): 21-27-17

d10-2 Came in last place behind marble911 (who won) and dgou: 12-15-14

d10-3 Won versus marble911 and dgou: 27-24-22

d10-4 Won versus marble911 and dgou: 26-24-14

d10-5 Came in last place behind marble911 (who won) and dgou: 25-25-10 (marble911 won on a tie-breaker with more goods)

d10-6 Came in 2nd place behind dgou (who gained 18 points in the last turn!); marble911 came in last this game: 24-30-15

d10-7 Came in 2nd place behind dgou; marble911 came in last this game: 29-39-14

d10-8 Won versus marble911 and dgou: 20-10-8
Buying Medicine early made a huge difference (I usually don't buy it at all, which is often a dangerous thing to do when playing with dgou ).

d10-9 Came in 2nd place behind marble911 (who won), and dgou took last place: 22-31-11

d10-1d10-0 Came in 2nd place behind dgou; marble911 came in last this game: 21-32-16

d10-1d10-1 Again, I came in 2nd place behind dgou; and marble911 came in last: 20-35-11

d10-1d10-2 Came in last place behind dgou (who won) and marble911: 8-18-14

d10-1d10-3 Came in last again! It appears that both marble911 and dgou hit me with a Pestilence on the last round, because I ended up with 6 few points than I did after I took my turn! Again, dgou scored an immense amount of points on his last turn: 13-40-15

d10-1d10-4 Came in last again, with dgou winning (I actually tied with marble911, but she had more goods left for the tie-breaker). Very quick game! The Pestilence that marble911 hit me with in the last turn destroyed my chances to win the game. Final score: 16-17-16

d10-1d10-5 I won with 21 points versus marble911 with 16 points and dgou with 13 points. It was a strange game because I never got more than 4 dice (and neither did marble911, and dgou only had 5 towards the end), although I did roll coins pretty often (but I didn't have Coinage):
21-16-13

d10-1d10-6 2-player game with dgou, which I lost: 27-29

d10-1d10-7 I lost a 3-player game against marble911 (who won) and dgou: 9-24-23

d10-1d10-8 Dgou won on a tie-breaker with me, having more goods left, and marble911 came in last place: 21-21-8

d10-1d10-9 Marble911 won this 3-player game with 19 points. I came in second with 13, and Doug came in last although he scored quite a few points in the last turn, coming up to 12 points from a -5 the previous turn: 13-19-12

d10-2d10-0 I won with 18 points versus dgou with 15 points and marble911 with 14 points: 18-15-14

d10-2d10-1 We all lost a lot of points from various things over the course of the game, but dgou won with 21 points, and I came in second place with 19, while marble911 had 14: 19-23-14

d10-2d10-2 Marble911 won and dgou came in last. I took second place: 9-12-6

d10-2d10-3 Dgou won by a lot! I came in last after marble911: 6-28-15

d10-2d10-4 Came in last place behind marble911 (who won) and dgou: 10-21-16

d10-2d10-5 I came in last place again, with marble911 winning and dgou placing second: 10-24-19

d10-2d10-6 I won with 17 points, followed by marble911 with 14, and dgou with 10. Building the Great Wall on the last turn made the difference, bringing me up from last place: 17-14-10

d10-2d10-7 Dgou won, and I came in last place after marble911: 13-19-16

d10-2d10-8 Dgou won by a great amount, and I came in last place after marble911: 31-21-7

November 29, 2019
Two face-to-face games with Jenny and Doug.
d10-2d10-9 I won the first game with 32 points (despite losing 13 points to disasters!), followed by Doug with 29 points, and Jenny with 9.
d10-3d10-0 Jenny won, with a tie-breaker based on unused goods, against me, and Doug was close behind us with 20 points.

d10-3d10-1 I won versus marble911 and dgou, by getting Empire on my last turn: 26-15-9

December 25, 2019
Two face-to-face games with Jenny and Doug.
d10-3d10-2 I won the first game with 30 points, followed by Jenny with 26 points, and Doug with 15.
d10-3d10-3 Doug won with 41 points. I finished with 24 points, and Jenny had 18.

d10-3d10-4 Marble911 won in a 2-player game: 15-27

d10-1 4-player game (with the No Veto option, which speeds up the game online, but IMHO, takes away some strategic options). I came in 2nd place with 65 points after Willie_McCoy (who had 81), while xnardnkita took 3rd place and gene came in last: 81-65-53-49

d10-2 Won versus Meerkat: 102-100
It was a close game throughout.

d10-3 3-player game (with the No Veto option, which speeds up the game online, but IMHO, takes away some strategic options). I came in last place with 76. Tyche won and PIMM came in second place: 76-100-78

Agatha Christie: Peril at End House

(No BGG entry available)

This is a "hidden objects" type of game with a mystery theme (and a bonus puzzle after each completed level).

On my Mac.

November 16, 2019

d10-1 - d10-1d10-3 Played through the entire game without failing any of the 13 investigation levels, although I made good use of the limited number of hints. I did skip/fail one bonus puzzle -- the one with the watch near the end of the game.

Played the Mac version on my iMac computer.

May 16, 2019

d10-1 I started a new game and completed the Achaemenid Empire with after 6 levels of play and 28533 points.
I have moved on to the Hellenistic Empire which will begin with level 7.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2 I completed the Hellenistic Empire after 17 total levels of play, and will now enter the Parthian Empire beginning with level 18.

From gallery of Jude

May 22, 2019

d10-3 I completed the Parthian Empire. I forget to note the details before I moved on to the Sassanid Empire. The Empires are starting to take longer to complete, requiring more levels to get enough supplies to build the new structures.

d10-4 The Sassanid Empire was much harder because the grid had thin sections that that still needed a match made on them, which was hard to arrange, even with my accumulated bonus abilities. I had to use several of the "lives" I had won in order to redo some of the levels. I have played 51 levels and will next be entering the Turkish Rule era.

May 23, 2019

d10-5 Completed the Turkish Rule era, which took a long while and again required redoing some levels and used up some of my hard-earned lives. Next is the Mongol Rule era.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6 I completed the Mongol Rule era with some serious difficulty. I won, sort of. I finished the last "empire" level, but then there was a bonus "Aladdin" level where if you beat it, you get to see the genie (djinn).

From gallery of Jude

From gallery of Jude

d10-7 I kept running out of time (and emptying out my play bonus tools) just seconds before I would have finished the Land of Aladdin bonus level and used up all of my remaining "lives", so I didn’t actually win, I guess.
The game offered to let me play the last empire over and then try again, but the last empire level was really hard and I wouldn't have my extra lives or bonus tools that I had the first time because I had gained all of my extra lives during the earlier empires (and lost quite a few during the last one) so I don’t think that’s a good idea...

WARNING!!! If you play Diablo II (or D2 LOD) single-player on a Mac, do NOT upgrade to the 114d patch/version, because chances are it will not work! (If you are playing on Battle.net you won't have a choice, so good luck.) Luckily, I had backed up my installation of version 114b last year (and I regularly back up my saved game folder), because Blizzard isn't making old patches/installations available for download anymore, even to registered users.

Played Diablo II Lord of Destruction single-player on my Mac unless noted otherwise.
Also, I usually play using the "/players 8" code to increase monster hit points, drops, and experience (only works in Single Player mode: hit the Return/Enter key, type /players 8, then Return/Enter again - the code resets to normal when exiting the game).

NOTE: Assume that each of my characters hires an archer Hireling as soon as allowed (when the "Defeat Blood Raven" quest is completed or the character reaches 8th level), even if I don't mention one, and may switch to a different type of Hireling later as new areas are reached.

January 6, 2019

d10-1 Started a new character: Vlad the Necromancer

At the end of my session today, he has achieved level 7 and has a Clay Golem to accompany him on his adventures.

May 17, 2019

d10-2 Started a new character: Reignbow the Amazon

At the end of my session, she is at Level 7. So far, so good in gathering "rainbow colors" for her bow attacks: her main bow has cold and poison, her boots give a chance at a lightning attack, and she has a point in a fire attack skill, although I usually use Magic Arrow.

May 29, 2019

d10-3 Started another new character: Ella the Sorceress

Except for Static Field (a Lightning skill), I am putting most of her points in the Cold skills and the rest in some Fire skills.

May 30, 2019

d10-4 Ella the Sorceress is now level 13, using a short spear and shield on her alternate weapon set-up to supplement her Static Field and Ice Blast attacks (and she has a staff to augment those skills). Next up will be traversing the Underground Passage.

May 31, 2019

d10-5 Ella the Sorceress is now level 16, and just finished rescuing Cain and defeating the Countess in the Tower. There were some tough opponents in the lowest level of the tower (tougher than the Countess!), and twice I had to re-equip, rehire my minion, and go retrieve my body to get my good stuff back (this was with the game set to "/players 8").

August 3, 2019

d10-6 Started another new character: Azure the Sword-Bashing, Shouting, and Leaping Barbarian is now level 11. Keeping it simple, using a two-handed sword and alternating it with a cool unique short sword (Rixot's Keen) that I found and a shield, although I am tempted to use a sword in each hand and put skill points into Double Swing, I probably won't for this character. The minion he hired is handling the long-range attacks with her bow.

August 5, 2019

d10-7 Azure the Barbarian is now 18th level.

August 14, 2019

d10-8 Started a new character: Eli the Druid, who is not going to be a shape-changer. He is now at level 5.

August 15, 2019

d10-9 Started a new character: Whish the Assassin, who is now at level 14. Mostly concentrating on Blade Sentinel and Tiger Strike now, but plan on putting some points into Fade and Shadow Warrior/Master later.

August 16, 2019

d10-1d10-0 Eli the Druid, who is concentrating mostly on Elemental skills (plus a little bit of Summoning), is now level 10.

August 18, 2019

d10-1d10-1 Started a new character: Ferenc the Necromancer, who will be concentrating his skills on a Golem (eventually, and Iron Golem, which is fun because it gets its attributes from whatever item is chosen to create it from) and Iron Maiden, and a few other skills.

August 18, 2019

d10-1d10-2 Ferenc the Necromancer is now 14th level and has some decent weapons, including a Throwing Axe with extra damage, including a point of Cold damage, plus an increased stack size totaling 155. He also found Biggins Bonnet today, which comes in handy. He's still using a Clay Golem, so I got a wand that adds a couple of levels when I cast the golem, plus I have been lucky so far to find a Skill Shrine so I can add a couple more levels when casting golem. Like I mentioned before, I plan to switch to an Iron Golem later, when Ferenc is of a high enough level.

September 2, 2019

d10-1d10-3 I started another character: Dudley the Paladin, who is concentrating on Zeal (with points in Sacrifice to add to Zeal's damage), and Thorns, for now, in addition to Cleansing (with points in Prayer for healing while cleansing) and the elemental resistances. He was 12th level when I stopped playing today.

September 15, 2019

d10-1d10-4 Reignbow the Amazon is now level 12.

October 5, 2019

d10-1d10-5 I started another character: Twohy the ambidextrous Barbarian, who is currently at level 11.

October 6, 2019

d10-1d10-6 Twohy the ambidextrous Barbarian is now at level 15 and making good use of Double Swing and Double Throw with some decent mace and javelin weapons.

October 7, 2019

d10-1d10-7 Twohy the ambidextrous Barbarian is now at level 17.

October 8, 2019

d10-1d10-8 Twohy the ambidextrous Barbarian is now at level 19.

November 3, 2019

d10-1d10-9 Reignbow the Amazon is now level 17.

November 7, 2019

d10-2d10-0 Reignbow the Amazon is now level 19 and I am putting runes into the sockets of her bows.

May 26, 2019

Played a couple of games. I prefer the "fixed" overhead view (#7 in the options, although it seems I need to pause the game and reset it every time, although I chose and set that view in the general options. ).

I did all right and got onto the High Scores list for each table played, but that's not a big accomplishment when all the slots were empty! There was still a minimum amount I needed to get to at least the bottom slot, though (over 20,000,000).

d10-1 Knights Tournament table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 37,695,790

d10-2 Aquatic table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 53,267,560

May 27, 2019

d10-3 Dino Wars table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 19,553,630

d10-4 Monsters table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 40,587,830

d10-5 Spinning Rotors table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 10,971,150

d10-6 Ambermoon table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 62,093,440

d10-7 Knights Tournament table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 112,669,650

d10-8 Knights Tournament table. Normal Difficulty (5 balls). 217,242,850 High Score!

Played on my Mac unless noted otherwise.
NOTE: I have all three add-on adventure packs installed, so I have access to some Investigators, Great Old Ones, and various cards and adventures that aren't in the basic version (which seem to make the game harder in addition to providing more variety).

February 8, 2019

d10-1 Success! The world was saved! And all 4 Investigators survived.
Hastur (Other Worlds had +1 Doom Penalty) was defeated by obtaining 13 of the 13 needed Elder Signs (with only 3 accumulated Doom Tokens), with Investigators:
Jenny Barnes
Joe Diamond
Gloria Goldberg (who was heroic, even when not on Other World Adventures, and who won the final 2 Elder Signs with enough trophies left to buy another if it had been needed)
Amanda Sharpe

The game began with two locations already making the Yellow Die unavailable, and some Midnight Effects occurred early on with those locations appearing right before Midnight so there was no way to avoid them, so it didn't look hopeful at first, but my Investigators were efficient (and lucky!) and ended up winning rather easily with only occasional healing needed.

Final Score: 4710 (22 Investigator turns, 18 successful adventures)
13/13 Elder Signs versus Hastur (3/11 Doom Tokens) (No Elder Signs were bought)

June 24, 2019

d10-2 Success! The world was saved! And all 4 Investigators survived.
Hastur (Other Worlds had +1 Doom Penalty) was defeated by obtaining 13 of the 13 needed Elder Signs (with 8 accumulated Doom Tokens), with Investigators:
Joe Diamond
Jenny Barnes
Wilson Richards
Gloria Goldberg

Final Score: 4500+ -- If I remember correctly -- I actually forgot to make note of the final score, and I can't seem to figure out how to gain access to a high scores list or something list that.

13/13 Elder Signs versus Hastur (8/11 Doom Tokens) (One Elder Sign was bought)

This was a pretty fun game.

On my Mac.

June 6, 2019

d10-1 I played through the first level (the Golf Academy Course) without having to re-do any of the games. I haven't won any trophies yet or made quite enough money to buy any bonus items from the Golf Shop, though.

June 16, 2019

d10-2 I completed the Solitaire Municipal Course and also got the Big Hitter Trophy (for getting a long drive on every hole).

d10-3 I completed the Moose Mountain Course.

d10-4 I completed The Highlands Course.

d10-5 I had to play the Slippery Slopes Course twice (I needed a perfect score on one of the holes to move on).

d10-6 (Replay of Slippery Slopes Course)

d10-7 In addition to completing the Ocean Shores Course, I also obtained the Top Rookie Trophy (for winning 3 course purses).

d10-8 The Mercury West Course is an optional timed course which can bring in extra money (money is need to buy things from the golf store which can give bonuses during play, but is, more importantly, needed to pay the entrance fee for each course). I didn't manage to complete any of the holes before the timer ran out, but it didn't matter much because I was allowed to complete them anyway, and I really didn't need the extra money.

d10-9 I completed the Ponderosa Pines Course.

d10-1d10-0 The Mountain Springs Course was somewhat difficult since I needed to keep my score fairly low to complete it (+12 or under). I had to play a replay of this course.

d10-1d10-1 (Replay of the Mountain Springs Course)

d10-1d10-2 The Sandy Beach Course required earning at least $4000 on it to advance, and it took me two tries.

d10-1d10-3 (Replay of the Sandy Beach Course)

d10-1d10-4 Completed the Forgotten Forest Course, in which I needed a 14 card run to advance. I also became a Weekend Warrior, but that doesn't seem to come with a trophy.

June 23, 2019

I bought some more bonus items from the Golf Shop, but didn't win any more trophies.

d10-1d10-5 Completed August Jones Course (+8 score or under to advance).

d10-1d10-6 Castus None Hole completed (Earn $4000 or more to advance).

d10-1d10-7 Mercury Golf Club (Optional Timed Course) -- like for the previous optional timed course, I failed all the timed bonuses, but I did play through all the holes.

d10-1d10-8 Salty Tears Course (I needed 1 or more Perfect Scores to advance). I needed to replay this course a couple of times before I could advance to the next course.

d10-1d10-9 Replay of the Salty Tears Course.

d10-2d10-0 Replay of the Salty Tears Course, but this time I succeeded in meeting the requirements to move on.

d10-2d10-1 Akira Country Club Course (Long Drive of 12 or more to advance).

d10-2d10-2 Oak Valley Course (Earn $4500 or more to advance).

d10-2d10-3 Waverly City Course (Score of +6 or under to advance).

June 25, 2019

d10-2d10-4 Mohave Golf Club Course (Long Drive of 16 or more to advance).

d10-2d10-5 Replay of Mohave Golf Club Course.

d10-2d10-6 Replay of Mohave Golf Club Course.
I played this course 3 times without achieving a Long drive of 16 (although I did reach 15 twice).
I did make some cash, though.
But I can't advance until I get a Long Drive of 16 or more on this course, so I am attempting to save any Irons I find in the hope that they will help me achieve that in the future, which let me get the "No Irons Award" Trophy (for not using any bonus irons instead of a card).

June 28, 2019

d10-2d10-6 Replay of Mohave Golf Club Course.

d10-2d10-6 Replay of Mohave Golf Club Course.

d10-2d10-6 Replay of Mohave Golf Club Course.

d10-3d10-0 Replay of Mohave Golf Club Course. I finally manage to get a Long Drive of 16 or more. (After coming close several times over the past several games, I finally beat it with a Long Drive of 23 this game!). Heritage Hills course is now open.

July 13, 2019

d10-3d10-1 Heritage Hills 18-hole Course (Score of +10 or under to advance). Success! I also got the Country Club Champ prize (which I believe awarded me $1000 -- but no trophy).

July 15, 2019

d10-3d10-2 Eagle Ridge Course (Need 2 or more Perfect Games to advance). Success!

August 21, 2019

d10-3d10-3 Successfully completed the Birkett Laverty Course by earning more than $4500 for the course.

d10-3d10-4 through d10-4d10-5 It took me 12 tries but I finally successfully completed the Cove Town Course, although I "won" the Duffer Cup trophy for failing spectacularly with a score of 30+ (31) in one of the games. I needed to get a score of 2 or less!
The West Lake Course is now unlocked.

October 23, 2019

d10-4d10-6 through d10-4d10-8 Played the West Lake course (where I need two perfect games, meaning removing all the cards, out of nine games, to advance) three times and did not succeed...

In this game, you must shoot a ball to destroy all the gems in a maze-like area, and you only get so many shots.

On my Mac.

June 2, 2019

d10-1 Completed the 5 Small level mazes, although I did not get a 3-star rating for all of them, and I had to re-do one of them twice.

d10-2 Completed the 5 Medium level mazes, although I did not get a 3-star rating for all of them, and I had to re-do at least three of them more than once.

Actually, I played the first
Governor of Poker
game, but since it isn't in the database, just pretend...

This game plays the Texas Hold 'Em variation of Poker, where every gambler gets 2 hidden cards and then 5 cards are shared by all (gradually placed face up on the table) with betting in between card placement). I prefer draw poker.

The game is set up that the player starts with a certain amount of money and buys into an 8-player poker game every day, and when the buy-in money is lost, the player still has what is left from the original money. The player can also buy property in the town(s) which will bring in a weekly income and is important to take control of the towns and win the game.

April 27, 2019

d10-1 Won a lot of money, then lost a lost of money. Went bankrupt before the end of the first week. Oh, well.

d10-2 Lost. Didn't even make it to the second week, again. I'm really bad at this game.

d10-3 Lost. Didn't even make it to the second week, again. Remind me never to play with real money!

d10-4 Lost. Although I completed 6 tables with some money left, it wasn't enough to buy in to another poker game...

d10-5 I made it through day 17 before I lost this game, although I was still in the first town. I got so tired of playing that I didn't care that I lost.

On my Mac.

I downloaded this app from the Mac App Store, and then downloaded the free versions of the available pinball machines in the game. This took a while and it now uses up a lot of hard drive space.

On my old Mac, I had Bally machines with this app, but the "updated" version on my current Mac no longer holds the license to simulate machines from that company. Oh, well...

d10-1 Tried out a few of the available free games, but I'm not sure yet what the limitations are for the free versions.

UNO UNDERCOVER

On my Mac, using the Uno Undercover app,

which doesn't seem to have an entry on BGG/VGG
. The computer game consists of games played just like regular Uno (against AI opponents), but has an interconnecting storyline between the individual games (and cosmetic "bonuses" that can be bought which do not affect gameplay).

Here's a youtube video about the gameplay:

d10-1 Played a few more games in the adventure mode campaign that I started last year. I won every game this time, although one of them was almost lost.
