Project SHRINKO! Tiny versions of big BIG games
where small is the new big!
Our evil scientists are pointing their Shrinkomatic 2000 transformation ray at BIG box games, transforming them into tiny 9-card (or thereabouts) games.
Why? Well, because that's what evil geniuses do (isn't it? We're kinda new to this...)
So join us for our evil rampage through Board Game Land as we transform BoardGameGeek into BoardGameSqueak one game a time.
EDIT: Now you can suggest targets for shrinking over here: Suggested targets for Project SHRINKO
EDIT 2: And a discussion thread here: Project SHRINKO - cutting big box games down to size
The Small Print (of course!)
There are many tiny games out there now, especially as a result of the annual 9 Card PnP Contest, and many of these bear a resemblance to larger games. For example, 9 Card Siege and The Coin Tribes' Revolt: Boudica's Rebellion Against Rome use mechanics from much larger war games, and Mini Rogue: A 9-Card Print-and-Play Game makes a dungeon crawl on 9 cards. But these do not qualify for this geeklist because they are not nefariously shrunken versions of specific big box games.
Feel free to suggest additions to the geeklist in the comments below, but I as the Grand High Evil Genius Overseer of Project Shrinko (or GHEGOPS for short), yes only I the GHEGOPS will determine what is added to this list. Because that's just the sort of evil genius I am. Bwaa-haa-haar etc.
