In The Lost Expedition you take a team of explorers on a trek through the Amazon in search of a previous expedition that never came back. They were looking for the mythical golden city of El Dorado. Will you find them? Will you find El Dorado? Or will you meet the unknown fate of the previous expedition?

I'm sure that dividing a review into three parts, each named after one of the gunslingers in Sergio Leone's Western classic, has been done before. Another thing that's been done before is zombie-themed games. But that something isn't original doesn't have to mean it's bad, does it?

Hostage Negotiator is a game for one player created by A.J. Porfirio and released by his publishing company Van Ryder Games in 2015. It was voted best solo game of 2015 by the 1 Player Guild. The game is something of a contemporary solitaire classic and it's ranked just below the top 200 thematic games on BoardGameGeek. Will it hold up to the scrutiny of cats?

When I reviewed The Lost Expedition I enjoyed it so much that I bought Judge Dredd: The Cursed Earth, a game based on the same set of rules. I reviewed that game as well and liked it even more. Two of the reasons for this was the higher variability and the greater sense of discovery. Could an expansion add some of that to The Lost Expedition?

Pixel Glory: Light and Shadow was released in 2018. It has a highly playable solo mode, is easy to set up, quick to play and a lot of fun. So how come people aren't talking about this game? Is it because of the misleading information on the box? Or a menacing conspiracy of wargamers? I might be unable to answer these questions, but I'll give you a rundown of the game and share some thoughts.
